Which commuter bike(100cc-125cc) for FIL

    Which commuter bike(100cc-125cc) for FIL

    Hello All

    After we surprisingly decided upon 220 dtsi for my brother, which will arrive in 2 weeks time , its for my father in law to look for a new bike. His previous bike was HH CD 100 which he sold for rs. 13k.

    But his requirements are quite simple.

    - It has to either Honda or Hero Honda
    - Has to be either HH or Honda and 100cc or 125cc.
    - Has to be around Rs. 50k.
    - Fuel Efficient
    - Easy to ride.

    Since i am not too familiar with 100-125cc bike, i have till now suggested only Honda Stunner. He is thinking of Shine or Passion or Passion Pro. How is all the above bikes? Is Stunner above Rs. 50k?

    Please advise.

      it is more than 60k.
      You dont have too many options in the 125cc segment of both HH or Honda. The HH has only super splendor & honda has only shine & stunner.


      But from the bikes you have zeroed down the passion/passion pro would give the highest mileage. The shine would give the highest power. The best bike (according to me) would be the passion pro for its added goodies like digi console etc etc.

        Shine will suit him.

        It is understated yet powerful in 125 cc category, and it is HONDA the fav. of oldies.
        It's not the hours you put in, it's what you put in the hours!

          How much is the expected mileage of Passion pro? Any idea how super splendor is in mileage?

          Does shine have any issues? How much mileage does it get?

          How is twister?

            As he already used HH product can go for either the passion pro or splendor (super or super + or what ever )

            passion pro is bit comfortable than splendor

            tell him to try test drive on all three with a pillon rider

              He wont like the stunner very much. Had happened to my friend. He baught a stunner but had to sell it because his father had trouble riding it. He complained Light does't turns left-right with handle . Later baught a super splendor.

              Dont go for the passion just for the goodies. Its decads old bike with just new cloths. Still using horizontal configuration for engine . Its vibey, very slow and not that great in FE.

              So in your case I'd prefer Honda shine
              *Its good looking.
              *Fuel Efficiency is almost same as passion.
              *May be the best selling 125.
              *Good power for a 125.

              Also look at the twister.

                Why not a CB Twister. Power of 125 cc engine and mileage of a 100cc. Looks stylish too. More over it has a the latest engine from Honda which is super refined and ultra smooth.

                If not CB Twister, Passion Pro is the best option for your father. Great mileage and HH reliability.

                      It is the Super Splendor.

                      Though he wanted Shine, it had too much waiting period. Around a month, which they couldn't wait. So he bought the Super Splendor.

                        it seems any product from Honda will take its own sweet time to reach the customers

                            stunner PGM-FI gives around 60-65 but it costs around 80k
                            passion and twister is good for mileage
