  • [Photo Feature]: A quick tour of the Harley Davidson Showroom in Delhi

I happened to viist the HD showoom today in Vasant Kunj. I must admit that the showroom was the best that I have seen out of any manufacturers (Indian or otherwise). There were a lot of bikes at display, on top of that there were a lot of gear and accessories to choose from. I almost felt I was visiting a HD showroom in a developed country, which is saying a lot. Good to see that HD is serious about its customers in India and is not compromising on its showroom quality by resting on its name. The people manning the showroom could have been more forthcoming and interactive, I wish. But that also, in due course.

Overall I would rate it as a great experience visiting the showroom, it was something which will probably make you buy an HD. But that feeling of elation quickly dissappeared once I stepped out of the mall into reality that India is. If only our government was a little less corrupt, if only our people had a tad more etiquette on the road - I would have loved to enjoy riding a HD everyday to office and elsewhere without worrying about anything. Will the complete HD dream be ever realized in India?

I wish, I so deeply wish...

Nice quality for an iPhone camera..
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

so its a HD and iphone review together . nice showroom but i doubt those girls know anything about the machines.

@sunny - sorry for going all the way OT, but which service provider you are using your iphone on and how did you manage to get a micro-sim in India? iPhone photo quality is brilliant but has vimeo compresses the video quality?

Thanks everyone. In India you use a micro sim cutter to cut the sim, simple .

The video quality is brilliant, and the video has been compressed not once, but twice (once by Reel Editor and then by Vimeo while uploading). The whole video has been shot and edited on the IPhone itself (music addition, text and trimming plus crossfading effects using Reel editor!

as if men in bike showroom know "the machines"?! mind your words mister. all sales personnel in any bike showroom are taught or atleast informed of the varies aspect of machines they sell besides i think someone plunking 7lacs plus on a bike would be knowing everything he needs to know. dont be sexist.

India is not ready for these kind of bikes or cars. Just not ready.... It will take a few more generations to fix things, but as things are now, India is far from it.
