        Hi Amit
Do have a look at the Busa
The size may intimidate you, but it handles like a baby, once in motion
Turning radius is a pain though.
I have been using the Busa for four months now and do lot of city riding in traffic infested Mumbai. Havent had problems and yes no wrist pains etc
The riding posture is also good
Do have a look at the Busa before you shortlist
Talk to some Busa owners in Hyd. I m sure they would be glad to share their experiences.

For comfortable riding and cruising, it got to be the CB1000 or the SUZUKI INTRUDER.
            Both are officially available too.

Here is what your list should have !
1.Suzuki Gsx1300R aka Hayabusa ( comfortable riding position)
              2.Suzuki Gsx1300R aka Hayabusa ( comfortable seat )
              3.Suzuki Gsx1300R aka Hayabusa ( not much of a ***** on the wrists )
              4.Suzuki Gsx1300R aka Hayabusa ( you are 6 ft tall )
5.Suzuki Gsx1300R aka Hayabusa ( u wanna use your bike for touring )

Look no further and book the Busa already ! If you find it too bulky the only other option you have is the GSXR1000 ( please dont call it GSX1000R )
With its stock rearsets the litreclass gixxer is almost as if its made for touring and provides maximum wind protection from highspeed highway blasts. Seating position is really benevolent too.

                from the multiple reviews ...
                i can suggest u either Gixer1000 or R1
both are supersport and has dashing look, Gixer is lighter compared to busa and might needed lil effort in city comapred to busa .. and u'll be one of few owners of gixer.
R1 - becouse there are many owners of this bike and its small size compared to others would giv advantage on city and has good service/support from yamaha at least in B'lore

I've never ridden a liter bike so dont know if I am right by saying anything on this thread. But from what I have heard and read, the Honda CB 1000 should be comfy enough for you. The riding position and ergonomics are not as aggressive on this bike compared to the supersports you have listed.

All the best in your search and hope you buy one soon.

Looking forward to a detailed report on the buying and ownership experiences.

P.S. Do invest in good quality riding gear.

                    huh ?
Dude nagoo ! How can the litre gixxer be little more effort to ride in the city than the busa ?
And how can R1 satisfy any of his needs ? Neither R1 nor the Gixxer are supersports and he isnt looking for a supersports ! R1 is neither small nor light nor made for city riding. They guy will be tandoored in an hour if rides an R1 in the city !
He says he wants all gain but no pain. Thats either the Busa or then the CB1000R if he doesnt mind the naked look. But then its 'Hello windblast' on a naked bike !

Surprisingly i will go with the general opinion here. Busa. I don't like it personally but international magazines also rate it as a very good tourer. Infact i read about an article where they did a tour from england to turkey on it. It is not as uncomfortable to ride as the gixers, kwackers and yam and more importantly it has a very unstressed engine which is a boon in touring.
also no matter who says what the litre class supersports don't have the tank range to go for touring.

You can also look at Bandit. As posted somewhere else it has already reached leh. so i guess it can go anywhere in India. Looks are a bit too honest for my liking. But i think it is a genuine tourer.

On the other hand the busa and the bandits won't hold a candle to the supersports brigade on a race track. But then will you be going on one?

If you are looking at touring, busa would be a relatively better choice (if need be, you can add an aftermarket windshield/laminar-lip, handlebar raisers etc to make it more touring friendly). But if you are considering any of the naked bikes like the CB1000, MT01 etc for TOURING, please take into account that in the absence of a windshield, the wind blast on the torso could get really bothersome on long rides for some people.

BTW, if you are not interested in flashy looks, the Bandit is the better choice in India.

umm none of the above for long trips... you do realize the above are all sport bikes, as someone suggested look at a hayabusa or something else like a vfr/sprint st/etc.
The max i've done on a supersport is about 450miles (~720kms) in a day and trust me it will be painful on any of the above.
