    Mumbai, Sep 1: One of the largest two-wheeler manufacturer in India, TVS Motor Company showed on Sep 1 that the company received highest ever monthly sale in Aug 2010.

    With a growth of 34 percent, the company made 170,735 units in Aug 2010 sale than the previous year's sale.

    Along with the huge sale in both two and three wheeler segments, the company managed to grab the highest sale margin in the month of Aug 2010.

    The two wheeler sales of the company grew 32 percent in the month of Aug 2010.

    While in the same month, the company's three wheeler business continued to raise with sales of 3,626 units.

      Still the motorcycles sales numbers are less as compared to what TVS was used to achieve 4-5 years back with a smaller portfolio.

            NEW DELHI: Chennai-based TVS Motor Company today reported its highest ever monthly sales at 1,70,735 units in August, registering a 33.52 per cent jump over the same month last year.

            The company had posted a total sales of 1,27,875 units in the corresponding month of 2009, TVS Motor Company said in a statement.

            TVS Motor's two-wheeler sales in last month witnessed a 31.75 per cent increase at 1,67,109 units compared to 1,26,842 units in the same month last year, it added.

            Motorcycle sales of the company during the last month rose by 30.21 per cent to 66,574 units from 51,127 units in the year-ago period, it said.

            The domestic two-wheeler sales in August 2010 stood at 1,48,081 units, up 28.66 per cent over 1,15,095 units in the same month in 2009.

            The company said its exports of two-wheelers during the month rose by 61.98 per cent at 19,028 units as against 11,747 units in August 2009.

            Total three-wheeler sales also soared by over three-fold to 3,626 units in last month from 1,033 units in the same month of 2009, the statement said.

              I meant motorcycles not mopeds.

              Mopeds sales are constantly rising year after year.
