    MODERATOR MESSAGE: Please use this thread to discuss the fluctuations in petrol prices in India.




    Petrol prices may be raised by about Rs 2 per litre and diesel rates cut by Rs 0.30 a litre if a proposal to free auto fuel prices from state control is approved by the incoming Cabinet.

    Petrol and diesel prices may be freed from governmental controls,. which means companies would now be free to set prices according to global price movements...

        After this comes into effect, petrol in Delhi would cost Rs.50/- a litre! And I was thinking of buying a bike in a month's time!

            Oh god again... Its already 50.27 RS/- here in kerala... so it will become 53.77 Rs/-

              53.65 in Hyderabad now. It would be 57.5 if increased. If the Oil Cos want profits on fuel, expect more hike than this.

                      i already go for SPEED.. its already costs rs.3 more.. but I dont thing the price will increase here at chandigarh..

                        Do not expect any drops in future. Be prepared for only hikes. We are using up the fossil fuels very fast.

                            Now how much price hike would they do??? Already they have increased the petrol price earlier. Atleast they are not even reducing the taxes.
