  • 1140 odd kms across Nizamabad, Adilabad, Nirmal.

    Hi all,

I resigned my job with Deloitte last weekend and decided to explore Adilabad and adjoining places. Left on tuesday early morning with a friend as pillion on my 220S. Here is how it went >

    Day 1 Tuesday 6 am :

Paradise Circle, Secunderabad > medchal Highway (NH 7)> Kamareddi 7:20 am. Uptill Kamireddyy we were blinded by heavy dew fall and were literally shivering. My tinted visor was completely wet and there was hardly any visibility.

Breakfast at Haritha Aptdc rest. > Further on NH7 we were looking to take a left diversion at Dichpalli to make our way to Nizamabad. But some where on NH7 before reachin Dichpalli, we took a detour to a village "Chandranpalli". Tiny narrow village road flowing like narrow water streams acroos lush green vegetation and far srteched out open land surrounded by hill tops. kept crusing and exploring flowing the road, reached "thurumbapet" . The beauty of silence and narrow tar continued along and finally wer made it to Dichpalli and connected back on NH7.

NH7 > Dichpalli > Nizamabad (tea break) . on d way to Basar @Jankampet, happenned to pull over at a huge waterbody surrounded with a rock park - " ashok sagar rock garden and boating point".

Made it to Basar and visited the famous "basar sarawati temple"

Basar > Bhainsa via Mudhol. On this route there is a huge lake or a reservoir kind of place with a really long bridge. Got off the tar again and managed to do some off roading and got really close to few fishermen floating on thermo coal.

Bhainsa (NH 222 - state highway 148)on route to Nirmal, took left diversion at Dilalpur (an arch).a tiny road with not much tar, came across a hige hill top with 6 hairpin bends followed by beautiful open landscape and amazing to ride on village roads. in between there are couple of villages and after kadile village you will find " kadile papareshwar temple" To get to the temple we had to ride acrooss few more hairpin bends with no tar at all -- read (mud road) and rode thrgh nothing but forest.

Highway scorcher suddenly became an explorer.

Nice pics there Vinu. Keep the rest of the log flowing. Would like to know what all you have explored.

BTW, the reservoir/lake with long bridge near Basara is not a reservoir or lake. It is the furious Godavari river that gets flooded to dangerous levels at least 2-3 times every season.

I shocked to know you have left Deloitte. Why??

He he heh...speed runs across states will continue to happen as it used to be but now its time for some exploring I need to thank you for that This might sound dumb or stoopid.....but I parted with Deloitte so that I could ride . I had enough of staring at the road from office cab and weekend rides weren't just doing enough for me. so taking a risk

          Thanks bud.

This temple is located amidst dense acres of forests and it has water streams flowing across everywhere. I spend a day wandering around and no matter how much the sun blazed down this place had a cool aura to it. Must say absolutely stunning and one of the most beautiful isolated places i have ever been. While i was here it got dark in the evening and i could not find my way out. i was lost in pitch darkness with not a single soul around, with no network on the mobile. kept riding around the forest area for 11 odd kms on the odo and luckily found the tyres treads left by my bike on the way up. followed that for a while and got out.

made our way to Nirmal (NH 222 - state highway 148) and with quite a bit of diffkulty found lodging.

Following day began with Kuntala Waterfalls, claimed to be the highest waterfall of Andhra Pradesh(45 mtrs)is set amidst the Sahayadri mountain range at a distance of about 40 odd kms from Adilabad near Neredikonda Village. Tarmac leading to the falls is nothing but twirling passing through dense forests. Air crammed with mist of darting waters, cool breeze, and tonnes of greenery.

More places and clicks, coming soon......
