I think the above answeres all your questions about gear, fees, blah blah.

Lets make this an EPIC event.

World class professionals will train you to be a better and safer rider...
Contrary to what people think California Superbike School is not focussed on racing or learning to race. For that they have a seperate race school.
CSS is based on getting you acquainted with what sports riding is all about and they will strive to improve skills which will one day save you on the streets too. Coaches who have trained MotoGP riders will be spearheading your training. That says a lot about how professional this training is.

Hope to see a lot of xBHPians at CSS this time.

          Damn I am interested ....
The only challenge is I don't have leathers.... Am planning to get a two piece

Alpinestars Octane Two Piece Leather Motorcycle Suit - RidersDiscount.com

          with an additional back protector.

Would this be allowed on the MMSC?

Just for the above marked in bold, I'm willing & interested to enroll, but what leaves me confused is...

            27th Jan : Level 1*
            28th Jan : Level 2*
            29th Jan : Level 3 AND Level 4

*Level 1 ad Level 2 are to be repeated on 27th and 28th.

            Fees :
            Level 1 + Level 2 = Rs 10k
            Level 3 + Level 4 = Rs 5k

If you choose to attend all days of CSS the fees would add up to
            Level1+ Level2+ Level1+ Level2 + Level3+ Level 4 =Rs 10K + Rs 10K + Rs5K
            =Rs 25K
Why the Level1 & 2 are repeated twice adding up to 10K; I'm under the impression that Level1 is repeated on 24 & 27 & Level2 repeated on 25 & 28. Isn't that right or would there be a difference between the two days when the Levels are repeated?

yep...in Feb 2010 the fees were 40K for level 1 through level 4
Students were capped at 22 last year. This year they are taking 40 students.

Since yours will be a 2 piece one...u are elligible.
Since we are talking of eligibility..let us put it out there that any indian bike including a Bullet will be allowed..ofc on a bullet you aint gonna learnn much. Last year a bullet crashed at CSS and the rider then switched onto a Ninja250R

Level 1 AND Level 2 are repeated twice to allow students to get a hang of it. Feb 2010 saw no repetition of any levels and it was really very very very difficult to comprehend anything of level 3 or level 4 since no one really got enough time to practice the teachings of level 1 and level 2.
Ppl abroad usually do level 1 & 2 half a dozen times before they enroll themselves in for higher levels.
There will be no difference...they will simply be repeated.

So are you saying, it costs 10K + 10K for both the days? I hope its not compulsory to attend Level1 & 2 on both the days right?

For the sake of practicing more? Would there be a theory session?

Last but not the least, I'm not a track person nor even to touch the track even if I were gifted with a CBR or R1, can I still expect to improve my motorcycle riding skills?

Nice! I'm sure they'd have a lot more takers now that they have lowered the prices. Would have loved to have signed up for L1 and L2 if I had a more track oriented bike!

                    @ TenHut

I'm interested in attending CSS training, but i don't have leathers.

                    What i do have is

                    3). Alpinestars SP-X short gloves

I'll be buying Textile riding pants soon.

Will they allow me to enroll?

                      Helmet-check

Racing Suit--~40K-60K (if buying something, buy the best you can afford)
Racing Boots--~20K (if buying something, buy the best you can afford)
Gloves--~8K (my counterfeit A* wouldn't do, hope the original Yamaha R15 gloves will)

After this, add the cost of transporting myself to Chennai both ways -- 15K-20K

                      Accommodation & Food--
                      1K per day?

                      Transport--
                      No idea.

                      Motorcycle Hire
                      1-1.5K with fuel?

After all this varied cost, add the CSS fees & I am looking at figure which doesn't look very comfortable to me at the moment despite the fact that I badly want to.

^^Have JR riding gear, but Kari would permit them not MMSC.

Well, not 1K for food, but may be you can say around Rs 500 a day; there's a lousy hotel close by & quite few of them a little further.

Accomodation, there's one close by & I'm trying hard to recall its name

What transport? To track? When you stay close to track & when you've your ride, what's there to transport

I don't know how the MMST is, never been there.

I won't have my ride, I am planning to rent one, be it MMST/Kari or Delhi.

And please do check OP's post to see why I have put forward these questions.

Motorcycle rent, in Chennai? Hmmm...I don't know any, may be Google can help & I remember seeing a thread on this here in xBhp.

Anyway, I know there's a close accomodation to the track, but damn!!! I'm unable to recall the name for now. But it will cost more than a K for food & accomodation put together. However, if you're willing to ride from city to track everyday, then, you can probably get the kind of rental you're looking. Riding from city to track can be done (hardly 3-4 right?) & the distance works around 35-40 Kms.
