  • Dainese 1-piece suit

I'm looking for any kind of feedback on 1-piece Dainese suits like the laguna seca pro. I have my heart currently set on the Dainese Steel perf suit, looks more comfy and lighter than the laguna seca.

Or are there any other 1-piece suits anyone recommends?

    Any comments appreciated, thanks!

If its going to be your first suit then Dainese Steel perf is gonna be the one to go for.

I currently own the a* sg-1 and sp-1 suits but the fit isnt perfect for both. The Dainese Steel is one of the better suits they sell and seem better than most a* suits ive seen, very light, better quality leather. Definitely not a beginners suit, since it costs 3 times as much as my sg-1 :P

Which suit do you use? Do you recommend it?

Tech 1 R 1 is also a great suit. Both will cost $1399

              Happy New Year!

Thanks, I found the Steel on sale for $1200 so didnt think twice! Also got a pair of the St TRQ-Race out air boots, very comfy and streamlined plus they look nice. Both my A* suits go on sale now :P

Hi Asim, I don't do track days and tour a lot so my Dainese is a 2 piece suit meant for touring and street use. I have a combo of the Dainese Jet Pac jacket and firefly pants. They don't make them anymore, but the current equivalent is the Dainese Stripes Pelle jacket and Dainese Alien leather pants

While I cannot comment on 1 piece leathers, I can vouch that Dainese is way above the rest when it comes to comfort, fit and overall quality of craftsmanship. Whatever you choose, you can't go wrong with a Dainese. Just make sure you get the Dainese leather protection kit to keep your leathers soft and clean.

Thanks! yeah i agree about the quality of the leathers being top notch. The suit came with a protection kit and a nice suit cover to carry it around in. So far, extremely satisfied!

I couldnt get the perfect fit in the dianese suit, I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 70 kg. IMO unless you are one of those dudes for whom a stock suit "just fits right", I would recommend custom leather. I have heard good things about these guys:

Spartan Leathers - Premium Custom Motorcycle Leathers, Jackets, Gloves, and more!

Personally I used to have a tilt customs suit but I heard they now suck.

                      Ride safe, later.

If you are willing to forgo brand names then look at custom fit suits, if I'm not mistaken even dainese or a* have this service and a lot of other makers.

Also, are you sure about black as the dominant colour of the suit? It can get easily twice as hot as a lighter colour.

Luckily the Dianese steel fits me as well as a custom suit would and decent custom suits cost about the same $1000-$1500.

I'm ok with it being black since its perforated, my SP-1 was black too. It never gets very hot in the summer here (san francisco bay area) so that helps.

Great, but then what was your question? Are there better ones out there?
