  • EV 2.0 :D Home made Electric Sport Bike :D

Hi guys, well its complete (Mechanically - dressing up left, fibre glass panels on the way. till then enjoy picx, videos, performance details and discussions.

    Pictures and videos (New) :

    EV2 pictures by stuntfreak12345 - Photobucket

ALSO NOTE: I need a person who can re-program an android based/windows based phone to show me Speed, (via GPS signal), range left, battery status, GPS map, phone calling and music via bluetooth. - wired up to my bike.

    old post :

Hi Guys. Finally after the Rd-Dio, Kart, Electric Comet, Yamaha(mix of 4) Electric superbike with a KTM 6 speed transmission (well unfortunately dint have money to complete it with li-ion batteries ) I have something nice to show u this time

As u guessed it, Its a Usable, cheap(compared to other of the same specs), and fun electric ZERO emission (I feel so nice not polluting), quiet (although u can hear the Chain a lot louder than the motor :P) Bike

    Well Specs would be
    10KW DC sepex motor
Curtis controller (programmed for higher range and gentle torque characteristics) - well I intend it to be a fun commuter than a race machine.
Single speed - No gears this time :P
Both brakes on hands (Like an activa or kinetic) - hydraulic front dual disc, rear single disc
Single sided swing arm - rear
    front dual upright shocks
    Aluminum twin tube frame
    front tyre size - 120/70/ZR17
    Rear tyre size - 150/60/ZR18
Lead acid (cheap, but heavy and bulky), DEEP discharge (Like inverter batteries) - so longer medium current delivery time. unlike car batteries.
Did the mechanical stuff myself, electronics, was initially helped by kunal thaggarse, but then I completed it myself. (sorry kunal n thanks.)

Well yea it performs pretty ok. We tested its acceleration with a NC29 and it keeps up with the blade till 75 kmph. Then the fireblade shoots. I guess thats enough of acceleration for a daily commuter

Top speed - Not tested But should do about 120 to 130 kmph. Will be updated soon with practical results

I did touch 80 kmph last night, but was scary. cuz i did it in the lane next to my house. will wear gear n test it elsewhere in a few days.

Range - Minimum : Full load condition : 30 Km on a full charge
    Maximum : Ideal conditions : 140 Km :P
Practical : Not tested. Will be updated

Its a Fun bike, Needs a BIG horn (yet to purchase) as NOBODY HEARS THE DAM BIKE. :P

Well I still need to dress her up (fairings - but getting there. also need a new tyre - rear - 160/70/ZR 17 -if u do have one for sale, pl inform on my email listed below.)

Registration - trying, but if anyone has contacts, please help. I have all bills of purchased raw materials (Taxes paid)

    Thanks. Stay tuned for updates

    Cheers

    Hemank

For some reason that thread refused to open last night, thus I posted a new one. Sorry for the inconvenience. I know I have posted a lot of threads on the same topic. This would be the last one for sure. You can remove all the previous ones (Controller issues, a usable zero emission sport bike, and home made electric sport bike)

      Sorry and thanks once again.

      Cheers. ride safe.

Nope. no plans for selling it so far. This is a prototype . n Its complete mechanically, so i believe 'effort' wouldnt be the right word for it :P Body work is left. then it can be called a product. n thanks btw cheers, ride safe.
