this is definitely bad news...............one reason for this can be the strong lobby of purely indian manufacturers...............

lets hope that automobile manufacturer's lobby put some pressure on government.

There was a time when ministers were warning Indian companies to face a free economy, and that protectionism would be removed soon.

But suddenly, did government see a lot of money in the form of CKD import taxes? Wasn't CBU enough? Will we ever see a free economy in our lifetime? Only time will tell it seems...


Very Important OT: Once my dad visited a village near Ajmer and addressed Anganwadi workers, who complained of less salary, just some 1500-2000 or so.
My dad strongly advised the Anganwadi workers to write letters to Sonia Gandhi, about increasing their salary. All Anganwadi workers promised to write letters. My dad gave the address of Sonia Gandhi there and returned to Ajmer. This was 4-6 months ago.

And in this year's budget, The salary of Anganwadi workers has been doubled to some 3 or 4 thousand rupees... Talking about creating a change!

It seems even we bikers also have to write letters to Sonia Gandhi to find some solutions to our problems. Just "MAYBE", we might see a change too?

But then as the article states almost every Indian Manufacturer has ties with foreign one's and many do have plans to bring down CKD's...so they are getting affected!

Seriously,dont we have to do something?We have to escape this torture!
