This post is my Thoughts on my current SHIP/VESSEL/road-farer My NCC-R16(since its 165CC now).
In short my vessel accommodates only me comfortably, add another being to the equation and it feels quite uncomfortable, since the bike is kinda under-powered in stock condition.
I have always been a YAMMIE Guy, i had a RXZ 4 speed which was stolen unfortunately, it took me a long time to get over my 2 stroker who used to touch 110 KPH in her Full bloom days but later ripping the bike would make it overheat and it would often stop, i was happy but not the happiest cuz it would stop often when i used to drag with bigger bikes and cause me much embarrassment, repair didnt help much. though i cannot say i was happy that it got stolen it helped me heave off some pressure of my chest.
This was when i started reading the 2 strokes were being phased out slowly but certainly due to emission norms changing in the world i live in.
next came a Suzuki Fiero which was an awesome machine but i will not keep ranting about all my Ex lovers, cuz im a man of the moment, i love my present Love affair more than the previous ones for some unknown reason.
The RXZ kicked ass but had serious issues with overheating and ceasing partly due to my own incompetance in checking the bike every week.
The SUZUKI Fiero was also amazing where i managed to beat a P200 in a sprint of some 4 kms in the night.
but i needed a new bike since i need looks to go with it and research started, i started reading blogs and write up's and was planning to book an FZ, but when i went to Bangalore wheels my eyes fell on the R15 sure it had skinny tired and the likes but it had something about its shape which reminded me of a nice Buxom beauty nevertheless.
i was fired, after finally convincing everyone that this is what i want and there is no compromise and this what i'll get even if heaven conspires again i got my R15 Booked.
Finally by Jan 15th 2010 I got my bike in hand and started riding it and I hardly could control myself from the surge of adrenaline or the rush that came on when I ripped it till 6th gear, top-speed was my criterion and I would often check topspeed in the Hosur flyover since it has a 8 km stretch of unrestricted road with ideal speed tedtign conditions and after many attempts I managed a 144 with some tailwind and catching some Slipstream from a Tata Safari who was belting away but otherwise I felt the bike quite underpowered considering it has 6 gears.
Soon excitement became routine and routines became monotonous and the rush was wavering off and I needed some medicine for my Speed Itch which kept bugging me.
This was forgotten at that moment but later I came across one of his posts and then started the research in December 2010 into the tech and all the mech that went into it.

By 3 hours my bike was ready and on the run, I felt it has this distinct roar when combined with the simota air filter which has a very sweet throttle response which made me smile.
A few days later after 400 km run-in was done I took it through its paces at Mysore road, accelerating low in lower gears and then rev limiter at 5th and then I touched 125 full upright, ok another stretch touched 129 and few more attempts managed 131 full upright and one 133 as well fully upright.
This was repeated in the next stretch hitting the rev limiter again at 150..damn now I realized that I was no hallucinating on mushrooms or anything.
Well darn another few days later after I told my friend about the upgrade he kept talking how he would brandish me to hell in just the first 3 gears on his Stock R15 with a K&N.
History has been made already.
News spread about this new bike and a big group of stunters barged into the bar demanding more info about this R15 that Killed a SHOGUN.
Well conclusion is just the big-bore is enough to kick some serious Butt for starters.
adieu
