There is nothing much wrong with Suzuki bikes, their service is good enough, their bikes make good torque for city (specially the 125cc ones). Not to mention one of the most fuel efficient 150cc bike we ever saw, in form of GS150.

Their justification on Hayabusa itself being a brand ambassador for other products (some manager said this in a video interview) is completely unreasonable. The reason is that every Japanese company now has something from the international market on offer, and secondly we see such imported bikes so less that it doesn't matter anymore.

By saying that we need a 250cc, you've hit the nail right on the head! And nobody is saying that they go sporty. You can do it with torque-mileage combo too.

They can get a carburetted 250cc 4 valve for the budget/ mileage conscious, and match the CBR, Karizma, etc. with much lesser price than CBR and slightly below Karizma.
For Suzuki's sales and future, I would say "Strategy" is the keyword here, not performance.
