  • HMSI to bring in 500cc-1000cc motorcycles to India finally.

HMSI to bring in 500cc and a 1000cc (or 100cc) motorcycles.the company finds no preference for 50cc here, and more demand for 500cc and 1000 cc bikes which they are planning for Indian two wheeler market.
Piling up of orders, the company has over 150,000 orders pending over last four months that need to be tended to immediately. The Rajasthan plant that went into prouction last month is expected to go full steam to reach maximum capacity by December this year. The company is also planning to set up third plant in Karnataka with investment of Rs. 1,300 to Rs. 1,400 crores and annual capacity of 1.2 million units.

This is a really funny article. Firstly, they should settle their supply woes then think about all this. Secondly, we know that a 100cc Honda was in pipeline. And this article has a confused focus about whether its 100cc or 1000cc.

About India not being serious about the 50cc segment, I suggest Honda thinks again. When you don't have even a single decent product in the 50cc category, why pass judgements on the same? What are your sources, professionally speaking?

If Honda is serious, I would say: just get the CBR600F here, that's it! don't screw this up. What's the Public interest for this bike you ask? Xbhp members were shouting at Honda, in the CBR 600F thread on Xbhp News Section. And don't price it above 6L OTR, and how (or what) you price it remains to be seen.

OMG... I dont care about their new launches until they sort out how to do sustainable business in India. 50cc or 500cc, every product will have a 500 days waiting period anyways. Honda Management is taking a piss on Indians. God bless those hundred fifty thousand poor souls.

        that's a lot of zeroes.

HMSI should/could start giving out loans too.

Is it true Samarth? I am happy to know then. My eyes and heart are all fixed upon the CBR600F which got launched in EICMA. An ideal bike for India, i would say.

@HMSI: please get either the CBR600F or CBF600. You cant get wrong with these two bikes.

            Thanks,

Well, don't you think the first statement & this one above are totally contradictory?

But to me, this is nothing surprising; HMSI WILL bring Fury & Stateline some day here. They're here to make money & are very serious like YMIS.

I highly doubt if they should consider new products without meeting current demands(or atleast close to meeting).

A proper strategy by HMSI can actually give them the competitive edge in india at the moment!

Is this news reliable? I mean the post looked like it was a 'filler'. A commuter motorcycle yes, but wasn't the other one a scooter?

                        Err! Honda Cub.
It was 50cc moped that could give 75kmpl and had two gears If I am not wrong.
I am not sure if its on sale globally, but I think its available in South Eas Asian countries.

And Even I dont see any sense in 50cc for Indian market if Honda is looking for profits.

Correction: More about Honda Cub http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_Super_Cub

I dont get it,why is Honda ruining its reputation,I wanna re-phrase pulsater 's comment

Honda Management is taking a piss on Indians. God bless those hundred fifty thousand poor souls.

actually they want those people to run around and piss in their showroom and their premises,so as to restrict others from ordering.

Blunt marketing strategy will just make people run away to kawasaki and Hi-ooo-sung.

There's a queue for activa, honda cbr 250 and for the upcoming model.
