Nice job. With SMD LEDs, you can pack more LEDs or compact the size of the entire package

Nice DIY Janesh..But still it will require the electronic flasher circuit..right?

Thanks deville, Yes we can pack more LEDs by using SMD type, but we need someone to do SMD type soldering, maybe in future .

Yes prashant, we still need electronic flasher for these bulbs.

Aren't electronic flashers load driven ?

I'm having a 'four SMD type orange coloured bulb' with T10 holder.

Will the indicators work if i just fix the positive and negative from the existing indicator wiring correctly in my Pulsar 150 UG3?

I did not understand anything about the electronic flasher and all. Your setup of wiring another bulb for creating the load seems uncomplicated. Could you share some photos of the actual setup how you did it. I'll try to port the same thing to my P150. Or will the LED indicators work directly in mine?

Depends on how they are designed. And since electronic flashers are generally used to drive LED indicators they are not load driven. Even if they are, the load required to drive them is as low as the LED's would put.

                    Why can't we . . . . .. . . . . .

guys!! a li'l suggestion.. wat about using LED strips around that traingluar shapr breadboard.. it would hold around 8-9 LED's atleast.Wud b sufficient enoghu @ night(Day as well :P). i just love those strips. and these strips use very less power (~0.5-1 W) in comparison to stock 35 W bulbs... i wish we cud have high intensity LED headlights as well;not costing a huge amount .

                      Hi,
No, Electronic flashers are load independent. They can flash without load also.
Stock flashers (coil type) are load driven.

                          Hi Saurabh,

Yes you can used led strips or leds as long as you use electronic flashers bcoz stock flasher wont support LEDs as the load is very less.
High intensity LEDs are available but they need special mounting and heat sink as they dissipate heat. Also these leds are way to costly, so for headlights stock bulbs are the best right now.

Hey i hav changed all the 4 indicators to led. But facing a new problem, if i turn on any indicator (left or right) all the four indicators are turned on. I m aware that the blinker is load dependent so they wont blink but why the indicators of both the sides are being turned on.
Cud this bcoz of the low power consumption of the leds ??
                            Any idea ?
                            Help !!

excellent job done... is it a plug and play? any resistance used to correct the blink rate as i believe the blink rate will be quite quicker with LED indicators...
