  • Honda X4 Manual

I've recently joined this forum and have thoroughly enjoyed going through the various threads.

I've recently bought the Honda X4 which as you probably know is a 1300 cc muscle bike that Honda produced between 1997 and 2003. It was officially sold only in Japan but exported extensively, especially to Germany.

And therein lies the problem. The only owners manuals I have been able to find online are either in Japanese or German.

I have scouted every possible site and forum but have been unable to find any in English.

I was wondering if there are any other X4 owners out there and if so if anyone can help me out on where to find a manual.

Any general views or tips on this bike would be greatly appreciated too.

    Look forward to your replies.

Congrats on a great bike. I have seen a few in the alps & guessed it was Honda's rival to the V-Max

I am sure you have done a lot of google searches. One of my searches returned that Southern Motorcycles of Southampton did import a few of these bikes to UK, so maybe you could take a wild shot at them if they have any shop manuals in english. I did search the normal Clymer, Haynes etc, but none of them have manuals for this bike.

      Good luck.

@imjoshee: Will post pics shortly. Last few days in Mumbai have been completely washed out as you know. Plan to click a few pics tomorrow. It'll be a pleasure to catch up. I stay in Juhu. Do PM me and we'll connect for sure.

@jd666: yes, the same engine went into the CB1300. But I'm trying to get a hold of the original if I I can. For all the minor details which differ. Just one of those quirks

@Shrinathrao: Super! Will PM you. Does your friend still own the bike by any chance?

Yes, if it is over the last couple of weeks, it's very likely. The garage/person I got the bike from is based out of Bandra East and I drop by there often. Even if the merely hang around all the SBKs that are usually there!

Well i have to say that i came across this bike for the first time (X 4) and its completely a killer one. I spotted this bike twice in morning between 9 - 9.30. Has HONDA stopped the production of these bike.

Yes, they were made between 1997 and 2003. Officially sold only in Japan. Made as an answer to the VMAX apparently. You're right about the looks. I especially love the way the exhaust pipes look. Do flag me down the next time- will be a pleasure to catch up.

Yes, the bike is a complete killer & once you see it in flesh your jaws will drop. I can say this because I got the privilege to sit on the bike & rev it(thanks to DarkWingDuck).

Boy oh boy !! it will surely give you goosebumps.
