  • Pulsar 150 UG 4.5 - Riding Posture Change with Rearset Foot Pegs from 180

Hi friends, first of all i am happy to tell you that i'll get a pulsar 150 or 180 by this 15th. Probably, my parents wont allow me to go for pulsar 180
Now, if the one i get will be pulsar 150, the first thing i would like to mod on it will be to change the footpegs to that position as it is on pulsar 180. I think it could improve my grip on the ride which will keep the fun not missed in taking corners and improves the overall looks for a tall guy like me (i'm 6ft tall )
Can i attach the rear footpegs, brake and gear levers directly from 180 to 150 with the stock frame? Also please help me with the cost factors. . . Thank u friends... happy saef riding. . .

IMO I don't think that you can do it without cutting and welding.

I hole heartily agree the need for rear set foot pegs(likeP180) for P150. P150's riding position is commuter oriented & very boring. But, it might be a bit difficult to exchange the P150's foot pegs with P180. Anyways, you may try it with the help of some good mechanic.
First check the dimensions...if its a straight fit, then only go for it.......cutting & wielding is not recommended for a new bike.
Otherwise convince your parents for a P180. Its not that every now & then we buy a bike, so one(especially we bikers) shouldn't compromise on our decision!

Today i've seen my friends 150. I think the frame for footpegs are same on both bikes. So it may be possible to fit that directly.

Thats right amit, and my parents are concerned about mileage of the bike. i tried to convince them that there's only 5km difference (though not much sure).

Thank you for the link, but some problems are there with the silencer there i think. 150's silencer also is a shorter one and it may need to be bended or repositioned to fit the footpegs in that case. . .

Anyway, trying maximum to convince my parents for a 180. Could a Pulsar 180 ug4 give 45kmpl average? If the one i get is 150 i'll be back expecting your help on the same. friends. . . thank you all. . .

Yes you can. Without welding/cutting anywhere. I have it on my bike.

The silencer is same on the 150 Ug4.5 and the bike in that thread. It just needs a small strip of metal to be bolted to the silencer.

Thanks pal. i think this makes no noises from the silencer on your bike.
Sorry for going a little OT, but why bajaj not looking over this small issues? for the commuters they have disco 150. . . and hence pulsar 150 should offer some fun to those sports (pulsar) maniacs, IMO.

I highly recommend that you get a P180 at this point of time.. If your riding is proper you can extract out a decent 40-45kmpl out of the P180 too. Also, if someone rides their P150 like crazy, even that's not going to give you anything more than 40 or maybe less..

Yes you can upgrade the resrsets to that of P180 if you buy a 150 and it'll be just the same.. Directly swappable with small very tiny mods on some of the places.
But the thing is why do you want to take that much of a headache when you're getting it all in a P180? Add to that it has P200 styling/chassis which is just awesome.. Try not to miss out on that for just the mileage factor.

Think about it and try convincing your parents that P180 is definitely not a fuel guzzler.. It all depends on the riding style.
P180 users might be able to help you out with the real world fuel economy on sane and insane riding.
