That's sad. Many a good companies we used to see as kids and teenagers on MotoGP, have now disappeared from it.
Prototyping is a good learning ground for factory teams for their future products, like Ducati copied the GP7 monocoque to Panigale.
I guess all these years of experience was enough and Suzuki doesn't want to fill the back of the pack anymore...---

RIDE SAFE
There's lot of conflicts going on in MotoGP:
Fans who pay money for tickets, want spectacular races where riders & their skill dominate rather than electronics.
Companies (Factory teams) want maximum control over their prototypes, including usage of electronics, so that they can improve their road machines taking lessons on the racetrack. Also, companies find MotoGP racing very expensive so they want a serious return.
Private teams want particpation PLUS high priority in terms of rules imposed on them, so that they can be competitive against factory teams.
The MotoGP Owners and riders want fast but safe races with no injuries and deaths on field. For that, they are trying to impose rules to make prototypes slower through the corners where maximum accidents take place.
MotoGP's future looks grim, even if there is a future. No matter what one does, one can't satisfy all parties.---
