    Auto Expo 2012- Details & Updates.

    11th Auto Expo, January 2012- Details & Updates.

    Guys, the bi-annual Auto Expo 2012 is just around the corner, and all the updates regarding it will be published in this topic. This year's theme is "Mobility for all" and we will surely see our future machines before their respective releases.

    In Last year's Auto Expo, we saw among many other events, Valentino Rossi's Indian visit, release of 2009 YZF R1, presence of many other "now released" bikes such as Yamaha SZ X, Honda Unicorn Dazzler (Sports Concept), etc. Most probably, Xbhp staff will also cover it by gaining an entry through Media Registration, due to open sometime in November. And they will keep us all updated with the latest pics.



    Venue/ Schedule: Pragati Maidan would be the venue. This would be the schedule (2012):

    5-6 January, 2012:
    Media Days, Special Invites: 1000 – 1900 hrs

    6 Jan:
    Inauguration: 1600 hrs

    7-8 Jan:
    Weekends (General Public Days): 1000 – 1900 hrs

    9-11 Jan:
    Weekdays Premium Hours: 1000 – 1500 hrs
    Weekdays General Visitors: 1500 – 1900 hrs

    Launch Updates Company-wise:

    Royal Enfield: Thunderbird 500, having rear disk brakes, 55w projector+halogen headlight, 20L Fuel tank, etc.

    Suzuki: Hayate 110cc motorcycle, Swish 125cc Scooter, etc.

    Bajaj: RE60 4 Wheeler,

    Honda: 2012 Dio getting 109.xx cc engine + redesign + tubeless tyres, Dream Yuwa (110cc mass market bike), CBR150R, 2012 CB Shine, 2012 CBR250R, VT 1300CX and the new CBR1000RR.

    Hero Moto Corp: Ignitor 125 (Copy of Honda Stunner?), Maestro 110cc Scooter (Dio), Passion X Pro 110cc bike (Honda Twister?). And a lot of paintjobs...

    Harley Davidson: Promoting Brand Apparels, riding gears and Customization Options for HD bikes. Plus, FXDB Street Bob and FXDC Super Glide Custom will be cheaper due to Home assembly, unlike CKD earlier.

    Yamaha: 2 Limited Edition R15's @ Rs. 1.1L Exshowroom each. No technical changes anticipated.

    Triumph: Bonneville, Tiger 800XC, Street Triple, Speed Triple, Daytona 675, Storm and the Rocket III Roadster. All Imported.

    Piaggio: Vespa Scooters, home production.

    Ducati: Monster 795 @ Rs. 6.99 Lacs.

      i will be there for sure hope to meet some xbhpians there.
      last time i went to auto expo but at that time i dont know about xbhp so will see the xbhp stall too

        200 rs entry was it free last time ? from what i heard its too crowded so how exactly do so many ppl turn up ? free passes ?

          Last time they had internet registration system for free passes. This time, its not yet announced what system would be used.

          Wanted to visit last time, and want to visit this time too.. But I face the same family BS talk this year too: "Beta, its too cold and dangerous. Don't go to see it, you'll see it on TV." Damn!

                Lol Samarth, i'm a regular visitor to the Expo since 2004. its cold, correct, but sure its not Dangerous. u'll enjoy the chill of Delhi winter, in 2010 i met the entire Xbhp team at the venue and we all went to the Xbhp Mega G2G at Xbhp Dhaba, Kuthub Institutional area, Delhi, that was a memorable experience. i experienced the coldest winter evening in my life that day (Temp may be close to +1 or +2). So, don't miss this event. see u there.

                    Me too me too Since 2004. Hope to see some good launches this time around. Last time Bajaj stall seemed like a last moment hurried-up stall and about Hero Moto (Hero Honda then) the less said the better. Which is why I had to be content with the Audi and the Jaguar stalls.

                      In the previous (2010) Expo All Xbhpians met at XBHP STALL and later that evening we attended the Mega G2G at Xbhp Dhaba.

                      @ Noor, can you shed some light on this? as i have to travel a distance of 2000 km from my place to attend the Expo. will be much help if the dates are confirmed to make the Travel arrangements.

                        I have been in Delhi since 2007. So did not miss a single edition after that(2008 & 2010). Would not miss this one as well. It was in Auto Expo 2008 when I came to iknow about Xbhp and joined online.

                        Are ther any arrangements for passes for xbhp members (free or concessional rates) ?

                            The last time I met MG, Rossiter and RX100 at the expo.. Couldn't attend the G2G though. I ended up going there on a Sunday which was the biggest mistake...sab log biwi bachche, girlfriend(s) ko leke aaye thee....I heard a girl say that the V-Max looks ugly and the T-max looks like a Scooty. Ultimate Facepalm!

                              Thank you for the information , i will like to visit auto expo , cause untill now i have seen it on tv & i really hungry to see it personally . Please keep update on fix dates , tickets & ofcourse if any free passes available
