I'm now looking forward to making the most out of every opportunity I get to ride. Hope I catch up with many x-bhpians along the way!

The ride begins - Fireblade!
Just got my new ride. Have to say I'm completely in love with her. Precise, nimble, civilised, and when you want her to be, utterly devastating. My thanks to fellow members like Fireblah and TenHut, whose threads played a major role in swinging me away from a bigger bike like the Busa to something far more special.

Congrats Shiva. Wishing you many happy and safe miles on the blade.
How many miles on the odo of this bike and does it already have any mods? What plans for aftermarket stuff? Full blown CF parts and an earth shattering pipe a la tenhut's bike or something different?
Hope you have all the riding gear in place. Ride safe mate.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

Thanks Sunil! It's been an amazing 2 days so far. Considering I'm transitioning from an R15, the Blade is truly something - absolutely no problems getting used to it.
The weight is perfectly balanced. Getting around the city is no problem, and heating is not as bad as some other sbks I've ridden. Except for the clutch, which can get hard to handle in rush hour traffic. But then it's my fault for putting her through it! On the open road when I'm not constantly squeezing, it's pure bliss.
Power is perfectly calibrated with an amazingly smooth torque spread. It's completely docile until you decide to rip it. And then it's warp speed all the way.
Ergonomics are really good for a superbike. I rode to work with my backpack and better half sitting pillion in boots and dress with handbag. Bandra to Nariman Point, no issues, chatting all the way. She even found it more comfortable after being used to the r15!
The brakes are amazing. C-ABS truly feels like a "get out of jail free" card, and gives you more confidence no matter what the situation.
My next plan is to shop for proper riding gear and some aftermarket bits when I go to Dubai next week. Would appreciate any inputs from other members on what to get and where to shop.
I also want to thank Streetfighter especially, for all the help he's given me with the bike. It's good to have good friends
Couldn't resist another pic!

Thanks a lot guys!
I'm out of town next week onwards, but I'm raring to go as soon as I get back!Originally posted by vivekjayasheel View PostAwesome choice of bike, and awesome color, mate! So when are you making those customary trips to Amby and Lavasa?
No mods yet. Fully stock. Will get the basics done - crash bobbins, levers and maybe the screen, depending on the options. Thinking of a pipe but not sure which one as of yet. I don't like overly loud exhausts, so suggestions are welcome.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostCongrats Shiva. Wishing you many happy and safe miles on the blade.

Got an RJay's helmet for now but planning on getting fully geared up next week.

Was planning on buying new but my car got into an accident and I want to replace it as well, so budget got divided. It's a 2010 model but March 2011 registered. Got a nice deal from the owner who had barely done 2200 kms.Originally posted by Insomnia View Postcongrats buddy
