  • dilemma in upgrading to a bigger bike

    hi,
i currently own a pulsar 220, using it from the last two years. I am now planning to upgrade my bike. Bike would generally be used for daily commuting and touring (300 kms a week) I am in a dilemma to choose upgrading to a 250cc would merely be a 30cc difference however i m confused whether i should buy the Ninja 250R or shall i go for a 600 cc.(waiting for 2012 er6-f to come to PBK's ). As far as budget 6 lakhs is max what i will shed because in future i will definately go for a bigger litre class bike and if its a 600cc it will only be for graduating so in that case is it advisable to go for second hand bike?
Your Valued advices would be appreciated .
    thanks
YOU CAN TAKE THE BIKE OUT OF MY GARAGE, BUT YOU CAN NOT TAKE THE BIKER OUT OF MY MIND

if are commuting daily its advisable to stick to 250 cc considering our road conditions.cbr is excellent commuter-tourer,although i would rather like to see a ninja in my stable.ninja 650 r and its naked sibling ER6N[yet to be launched] is good buy.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
      #overkill is underrated.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

That is what the dilemma is all about. I already have a 220. Ninja 250r and er6f which is expected to come are very closely priced may be 2-2.5 lac difference.

an irony in price sensitive market.

If you do plan to go to the litre class later, then there isnt a point in buying a 600 supersports first hand.

My 2 cents, buy a first hand, long term keep, cbr/ninja250 for your daily commuting/touring or a second hand short term Ninja/GT650r either.

Gt650n is however more bang for the buck anytime anyday even when bought 1st hand. And I hate its fugly looks.

well..if i would be at your place i would have gone for cbr 250..
as you need it for daily commuting and tour purpose also and you will buy a litre class later on.. which i think you will buy for fun and passion not for daily commuting which is not practical on litre class..

So for daily purpose and all things cbr250 will suit the point..

Get the 2012 Ninja 650 man. IMHO its the best in class tourer and can effortlessly be riding within city.
There are guys who do it on R1 and CBR1000R and all that. No big deal.
