This is some bad news. A true talent retiring because he feels the sport doesn't deserve the sacrifices he and his family made. Real sad.

He is one of the strangest success stories of MotoGP. I'm reminded of how he took a Ducati to the top against strong contenders. Let's hope he reconsiders, although its an old news and this was discussed earlier, as an OT in another topic though.
But how can he not enjoy it? If 153 kgs, 250~ bhp bikes are not fun than, what is exactly?
This guy confuses me.

Guys, this was discussed as an OT in the Rossi retirement rumor thread, so this news never had a topic of its own like I mentioned in my post above. This may be an old news, but its worth discussing nonetheless.
What goes on in Stoner's brain? Can anybody explain?
He crashes 14 times in 18 races in 2006 and wins the championship in 2007.
He blabbers that MotoGP is becoming too safe. Then after 2 months, Shoya Tomizawa crashes, and then Stoner chooses something else to say about the game...
He punches opponents on arm, he says all he wants about opponents in the media, and sometimes he's even against the media itself.
And now he leaves the sport saying that he doesn't enjoy it anymore... Guys, practically how exactly should the MotoGP be so that Stoner enjoys it?---

Memories
No one will forget the battle between Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner at the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Laguna Seca on 20th July 2008.

Yeah this was never required in the first place.
Do you want me to raise a separate thread for the last race result. I mean com'on doesn't the MotoGP thread not cover it all and you need a separate thread to discuss a motogp rider's future decision?
Com'on Mods do the need full
