Hello all , My first post here & will aim to capture the pre & post ownership experience of my Harley

After a month of research & forebodings on low ground clearance, peg scraping , my own aprehensions of riding a bike after 16 years & that too a transition from a 100 cc to 883cc finally got my own superlow

    my first thoughts:

oh boy this is one heavy bike , though once on it you hardly feel it
Harley attired and with the entire team of spicecoast harley giving me a ovation ,pressed the starter to hear the wow sound no mistaking it a Harley though more subdued than the big beasts in the product line.
eased it out ever gingerly , it all comes back in a jiffy once a biker always a biker as the old adage goes. huge power on tap & that sound is a heady feeling .quick short ride home & wow as the title says superloving it .
    more updates & photos soon

bike details : colour vivid black , additions : pillion seat, rear foot pegs, engine guard
Attire : harley 3/4 helmet & mesh jacket with armor

    Ownership Thread Approved

    Do post some pictures.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

One thing, my friend got pillion seat as a part of the bike he has HD 48.

Thanks , as for your queries : all sportsters come with single seat , one needs to add the pillion ( not to mention adjust the springs ) & rear foot pegs, though i agree they should be standard & free . SVC periods i need to check the run in as per manual is 800km . pictures soon

The spice coast harley experience truly overwhelming : Bike delivery date was also my 9 year old sons bday & the owner Mitesh was there with full family to cut a birthday cake !! for him . truly overwhelming . special mention must be made of their gm syam who was instrumental in this buy decision & for all support.

Very much, it was very thoughtful of them

Low GC Yes though yet to scrape something yet , early days , but it really gets hot in traffic , need good jeans as attire for rider & pillion

Yes saddlebags can be loaded , throw over type like from cramster are the easiest , there are also better types that need an additional saddle bag mount .
A tankbag is also recommended , joe rocket manta can be used also as a shoulder bag ( icon too has )

Better find some alternative instead scrapng her. Yes she is not designed for stop and go kind of rides, i mean she becomes free on highways. Alright bro, Ride safely and proudly and keep us guys posted of your journeys and experiences. Takecare

thanks , feedback from other owners is the only thing that really scrapes are those footpegs & they warn you long before any other part scraping & yes bumps to be treated with respect or gone around . will update you on real life experience & if really bad will add progressive suspension which is an two inches longer with matching springs for front that will give a 1.5 inch increase in GC.

planned additions lockable fuel cap & a cover to prevent unwanted attention in parking lot at home
costs a bomb so buying the lockable fuel cap from harley 3500/- !!!!! & cover from net ( harley one costs 8000!! )
