  • Friends... xBhpians..Countrymen! Hello from Australia.

Hello All... Came across this website recently and found it very impressive.

As for me - The name's Rajpal and am based in Melbourne (Australia) at the moment. Born and brought up in Calcutta but been here some years now.

I've always loved Motorbikes and have been riding since I was 12. Dad gifted me my first very own bike which was Yamaha RX-100 (Black). It was awesome and I've so many fond memories of that bike.

To cut the story short, came to Australia and didn't have a bike for many years (life happened, what can I say) but the bug was always there so 2 years ago, finally bought a bike. A Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom. Black again - it's an awesome bike and have clocked up about 24,000 KMs since then. There are some magnificent roads here and every time I go for a ride, I regret not buying the bike earlier but hey..better late than never.

So that's about me and Ride Safe. Stay Safe all of you out there.

xBHP rocks and keep up the good work people.
Once I have donned my black helmet, I become anonymous. My face ceases to identify me. My black visor shields others from the rigours of my passing glance while shielding me from their attempts to peer into my soul. I am an anonymous rider shrouded in black. I am no longer a specific self. I am a passing Traveller.

I know and that's how I found this website. Sunny is a legend in his own right. I've seen a lot of his magnificent pics in the last few days. Have also mailed him to see if he can catch up for a coffee or two.

was there in early 90's - used to work w/ anz grindlays bank & was deputed @ melbourne for coupla years. used to ride a honda hawk nt650gt back then. have rode quiet extensively back then. that was the non-digital age (& i loved it that way) & the relation between the man & the machine was far more engaging & passionate :-)

loved the pic of ur ride... always liked the cruiser kinda yammies... [riding an avenger 200 here since i had fallen on hard times on coming back home :-)]

^^ Nice work. Melbourne has some nice surrounding areas for riding.

I'm yet to go great ocean road though.

@rajpal- Any particular reason behind a Yam cruiser against a Harley/ Triumph/ Victory?

Well...the main reason was license restrictions. I had not converted my Indian bike license to Australian initially and when I finally bought the bike, I'd to start from scratch. That is being on Learners & not being able to buy anything more than 660 cc.

So Yamaha was the closest to what I could get within my allocated budget.

Victory/HD etc are not that cheap here.
