VADODARA: Three bikers - two from Gujarat - set off for an expedition on their bullets on Saturday morning from the city.
Gujarat minister and Akota MLA, Saurabh Patel flagged off the expedition and wished them luck.
The trio will be promoting Gujarat as a tourism destination during their odyssey that will spread over next two months.
The bikers will pass through 17 countries on their motorbikes and cover a total of 15,000 kilometers by road.
The trio has also decided to show a five-minute film prepared by the Tourism Corporation of Gujarat Ltd (TCGL) that is one of the sponsors of their expedition 'Silk Odyssey'. "About 30 bikers' groups will host us during our expedition and the film showcasing Gujarat as an industrial and tourism hub will be shown to people during our stops," said Kumar Shah, one of the bikers.
Kumar Shah and Hitesh Raval, who is a mechanic, are from Vadodara and Gagan Deep is from Delhi. While the main motto of this daring voyage is to collect funds for child survival and care, the bikers also want to promote harmony peace in the world and persuade people to follow their dreams and passion.
