by next diwali the market will be heading towards 250cc bikes with 150cc's becoming the commuter segment

how can suzuki be so dumbheaded to launch 125cc when Honda started off so well with it's 150cc
no body will be waiting for these suzukis till next diwali cos we already have good bikes in the segment(these guys will go the yamaha way........... into extinction)

in my view, every company thats into bike business has underestimated the INDIA.yamaha launched the ugly fazer, honda cant fly with 125c.c wings and now the suzuki.the only company that stepped out is kinectic, which in my view had taken very bold steps with aquila and now the comet.good work kinetic and keep on goin.

                      yup
these japs think we cant drive powerful vehicles (they r dumb @$$ holes)

just see comet: 250cc,26bhp and still gives decent mileage (30-35)
and our karizma gives 40 with 16bhp
i know mileage is not a factor for such bikes but comet proves that power does not mean a hole in the pocket

y cant these japs launch such bikes in india

                          why ? why ? why ?... 125 cc ..
i knew when they showed a gsxr on the newspaper that they are coin up with a 125cc , coz yamaha went the same way.

i think bajaj will be the only mfg, maybe hero honda who will come up with 250cc + bikes

Cars or bikes, India has always been considered as a country where companies can sell stuff that is outdated / out of production elsewhere. But the car market is lifting its standard slowly with companies like porsche, bmw and MB coming up with their latest models in India too. The bike market is a little different though. Suzuki like Honda is setting up for a launch. Honda had a benefit of the Kinetic - Honda collaboration before their scooter launch. When they launched their bike, again it was Hero Honda's name, service and trust that people had, so choosing the Honda was not a problem for anyone. Here Suzuki was literally kicked out of India by TVS and whats more, TVS started doing well after the collaboration ended, so Suzuki's image is still not as good. They are making a come back, as a whole and sole company. Here they will need a mass commuter to start with, and so the 125cc bike. I agree though, that 12 months from now, a 125cc bike will be too underpowered and it wont be able to stand the competition that its will face from the likes of Wind, Discovery, Victor 125 and ofcourse the 'Commuter 150s' like the Unicorn, P150 and the Fiero. They atleast needed a 150 to make a good start. As someone said, it might meet the same fate as Yamaha. Today who ever buys a Yam buys it only for the name or brand loyalty and same might happen with Suzuki. Gone are the days when Yamaha or Suzuki was written on legends like the RD350, RX100, RXZ, Shaolin and the likes. If they want to cater to commuters 125 and 150cc bikes is what they need. But if they are craving for street respect, Speed and Performance are the only words they should look at.
