I used to be a guest on xbhp on and off and used to check this site for advice on maintaining bikes.
A couple of weeks ago needed desperate help on upgrade of headlamps for my Caliber. however i learnt the site was down for reasons unknown.

Read the whole story today. Really sorry to hear about the whole fiasco.
,the resurrection of the site and registered immediately.

I too want to be part of this Phoenix coming back to life.

Well now something about me.

I am Vineet Chonkar
To describe me i would say
Instrumentation engineer by education
IT professional by occupation
and Autofreak at addiction.

I work in pune on weekdays and drive back to Thane on weekend where Family and friends are.

Automobiles (car/bikes whatever) started very early in life.
I used to ride with my mom and dad by standing in front of my dad on his scooters like most indian middle class families.
Dad has owned quite a few two wheelers.

• Java
• Lambretta
• Peugout Sportif
• The three gear Priya Scooter
• Then a 1991 Bajaj Chetak which was his daily ride till a few motnhs ago.

We still have the chetak but its used sparingly.

To describe my Rides.

• 1996 - Bajaj Sunny Zip - I rode this to junior college and a couple of years during my Engineering - now sold. 60cc of sheer twist the throttle fun. Didnt care about mileage (petrol was 15 Rs/lit then)
• 2002- Bajaj Caliber UG - My current ride. All I can say is the unshakable.

I owned a couple of cars as well.

• 2001 Maruti 800 5-speed MPFI -bought second hand (used from 2004 to 2007)
• 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Gli Limited Edition- my current ride.
