  • Royal Enfield Or Yamaha YZF R15

    Hello guys,

After riding pulsar 220 upto 1 year I just put my head with my both of hands by facing a heck of problems-

    1. poor/unprofessional service (nagpur)
    2. Availability of spare parts- oil pipe puncher/bush , stickers, iron fuel pipe , gauge locker. (nagpur)
    3. Disc brake pads - not upto ther mark . inclination angle not too good.

Now , I use bike for commuting and went for long rides every month.

Iam confused between my 2 choices...

    1. Royal Enfield all versions.
    2. Yamaha YZF R15.

Iam a student of B.E 3RD Year and went to college.

I like bullet coz it give a macho and male feel , well the sound make me crazy.

On the other hand YZF R15 is too sporty and I heared various feedbacks about it which are positive.

I don't care about budget , my budget is 1.20 lakhs.

Also fuel efficiency doesn't matter for me , but yes , I don't like to always run for maintainance in my bike except the periodical servicings...

I like Royal enfield - electra , thunderbird (so so , the sound is a bit low as compared to electra , classic and machismo), classic , machismo and electra 5s.

In R15 , its sporty look , just want to know yellow color coming or not officially , its riding position , and above all handling matters...

So , waiting for suggestions and advice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Topic Approved.

This is getting ridiculous, really. Once you were after an R1 (supposedly you already own a Busa), you already have a ZMA and a P-220 I suppose. You had also earlier enquired (started a thread) on "official" dirt bikes and stuff, if I remember correctly. You were also contemplating, at one time, on getting the Ninja 250 (when it is officially launched).

And now, you want to choose between an R15 and a Bull (absolutely NO comparison there, really). Please decide on what you want to go ahead with. This is really confusing for not only me and perhaps other members, but for you too as well!

Anyhow, this topic is being approved as of now. But, if it yields no results, then it will promptly be locked. I somehow have a feeling that you are not really inclined to get ANY bike whatsoever. Sorry to be bland, but there is a threshold for everything.

If you need any further clarifications, use the PM/ user message feature.

    -Aryan.

Aryan, I second you on this.
And Ansh I am quoting you...
"I don't like to always run for maintainance in my bike except the periodical servicings..."
Forget the bull! It s not guaranteed to be maintenance free.
Since you seem more into looks, performance, speed and stunting an R15 would be anyday better.

you own a busa' and various other bikes (that's what you told and had that signature of the so called year wise list ) and now you're confused between the two bikes that are poles apart in characteristics..........

i dont get you.........in fact i doubt you for the "picture" you gave to the XBHP and the members..........

Absolutely correct. The bike is great. It is a long term investment plan provided you keep paying the premium.

R15 & Bullet has been compared here??

What an explosion . I'v seen a few on Orkut who claim to have many bikes to prove one of them is a horrible machine.(usually Zma and P220 LOL!) Am I seeing someone similar here?

Aryan, You stole my old signature , I changed mine to a new one this morning.

Ansh_a.k.a_Razor is a spammer I believe. Why don't we ban this guy? Or atleast warn him? He has been posting several useless threads asking for bikes and stuff. If I have a Buusa or even a chusa...I believe I will have the sensibility of chosing between RE & R15. If I even don't have this, I should probably accept that I am bluffing about Busas & R1s.

Coming to the choice of bikes - RE or R15. I have never seen anyone who has such a mind. These two bikes are totally different from each other except for the pricing. What are you thinking?

Leon, I beg to disagree with the latter part of the post.

Yes you are right you cant compare an R15 with an RE.

But another way to look at it is when you are looking at a lifestyle change! LIke when you have been riding Pulsars,Cbz s,Apaches for a long time and now you are looking at your next bike. Either you can go for the latest and the best of the same class or you could opt to try out a segment which is an entirely different experience.

I really dont know the inclination one owning a Busa would have towards owning a 15/Bull. Maybe a discover, yes, but not anything like these two you've mentioned. But as someone without a Busa and looking for a bike, I was faced with a similar choice in August last when the TBTS came out. As Aryan said, there really is no comparison between the two, and that helped me in choosing. I mean, look at what you want, man. I cant speak for the Bulls, but the TBTS I rode had good pull, from go, and very relaxed seating position. Compare it to the 15, a miniature crotch rocket and they're like apples and oranges. You gotta ride each to decide. Otherwise, there'd be people(not me!) who'll write dissertations on the differences.

Also, I fell in love when I looked at her. And thats pretty much the long and short of it.

Let the guy take some time will you?? He might be busy, or perhaps his bike must have run out of fuel, the pumps were on strike, you see!

Okay, jokes aside, let's wait for a while more. Please sir.

                            Thanks.

@leon_nerd : You are too unprofessional on net - Better mind your language while saying busa or chusa - "Jab se tumhare paas computer nahi hoga tab se hum webmastering kar rahe hain bro".

@all - You might think Iam crazy asking about bikes a lot of times , yes its quite practical.
But Driving busa for all the time is quite not possible.

Already owned pulsar 220 and zma (sold now).
Zma is very awesome bike but I heared about its fi version coming , P220 on the other hand till owning but its quite unstable or you can say am bored of it.

R15 is driving my attention due to its handling and sporty look on the other hand Ninja's delay of launch and not as good front head look like R15.

Thats why I confused and Aryan , clearing confusion is the motive of xbhp isn't it?
A spammer wont post a big bolk thread. Iam not and I don't want to be too...

Sorry If I bother you all but I was just confused. And whoaaa.. I have enough money mate to buy a bike but its good to thing a lot of times before buying a bike but not to think later after bike have been bought..
