  • Query on buying a 2006 Yamaha R1.

Guys i need ur help.I am willing to buy a yamaha R1.My friend deals in used imported bikes. He is giving me a R1 that has clocked 9000 kms and has got a Dyno Jet commander III and a laser exhaust installed in it. The bike is costing me for Rs 7,00,000/-.The bike is white in color with gold graphics and gold signatured alloys. He says that the bike is limited edition, but when i checked online there was no white limited edition R1 with gold alloys.
That year only a yellow limited edition R1 was launched with gold alloys.
Now i am having doubts whether the bike is limited edition or not coz gold alloys was available with the yellow scheme only, but i am gettin gold alloys with white bike.So is it possible that the bike is accidental and the owner might hav got it painted white.
So i just want ur suggestions b4 purchasing the bike bcoz my friend is not able clear my doubt.

i thunk you are gonna buy the bike so i think you will be allowed to touch the bike and take some snaps...i dont anyone buys a bike without seeing it in raw condition or knowing about the specs of the bike!..

Ya one can take snap of the bike after you have paid the amount. Not before that.Actually people use to go there saying that they will buy the bike and use to take snaps and later post it on social sites.Since then they have become strict.
I just wanna know, that was there such a limited edition model with this color scheme. The bike is pearl white in color.

Just avoid the bike. They have something to hide.

7lacs for this bike? its too much! not to mention the limited edition 06 had the yamaha 50th anniversary paint scheme. and marchisini alloys, slipper clutch and ohlins suspension.
