  • My little wonder....

    Hello all,
I am in love.... and this was not on first sight. Like many, when i first saw her, i thought "hmm nothing great about her". But i was so wrong.
They say, beauty is only skin deep. I say they are right, but in this case its wrong !
Before people start thinking wrong, lemme tell you that I am talking about.
Her name is CBR Fireblade. Cute yet strong, compact yet nimble, sophisticated yet simple, aggressive yet humble. As Sunny rightly put, its just Pure Awesomeness !!

29th April morning saw a small cargo being delivered to our home. It was relatively a small package and the only thing that suggested the package's content was printed on it. Here also, so simply... "CBR1000R A9". It was just unbelievable.

Any way it has been a fortnight since she has been blessing our garage and since then she has simply made her way into my heart, all speculation about her looks went for a toss and before I knew, I was in love .

So here is where i want to share and learn more about this Little Wonder

Here are some of the pictures...

P.S.- we underwent training from Honda, info/pics on page 10.
Some more pics on page 24,33,43

Yup this is the official Blade, bought form Honda two wheelers India .
We went to Delhi to book it, the delivery was made in Delhi. And so was temp. registration and insurance.
The transport cost from Delhi to Kolkata was borne by us.

@outwardly maniac... the bike is priced Rs 13.25 lakhs on road Delhi

Congratulations Mr. Fireblade. What about registration and other formalities? For the Yams the bikes were opened in the showroom, registered and delivered to the owners, right? How come they delivered it to u without registration? Did u take care of it on ur own? Is that not the company's responsibility?

@Fireblah: COngratulations for getting the best motorcycle in the world on the street, at least

Its nothing short of magic that Honda is able to achieve such a perfect balance in riding ergonomics, comfort, power, smoothness, making this bike the easiest to ride fast among all the litre bikes. Hats off to the mighty Wing

                          Once again, Congratulations!

Yes i know !! i was waiting to write what i think. been reading alot of threads, people raving about R1. Now, I have not ridden R1, would be nice if i get a chance.
So all i can write about is what i have experienced.
Yestarday i was cruising through the city. was a nice day , as it was election day, so the roads were pretty much empty. Anyways, kolkata roads even if empty, cant be taken lightly as you dont know where you will find a pot hole or a ramp ready to launch you into the sky !
But inspite of all this, the blade is just so so so comfortable in the city.
I own a pulsar for the last 3 years. So i was a bit sceptic about how will the bike fair in city conditions, but lemme tell you guys, i have absolutely no problem with this "superbike". The only problem is heat. On a sunny day it becomes demanding, sun on top, 1000ccs of fire beneath !
The riding position needs time to be adjusted too, but after a while it becomes comfortable.
Now whenever i ride my pulsar, i keep feeling that something is wrong with it, and its not anything related to power !

My point is , people do not know this bike, and it deserves alot of praise and respect
May the torque be with you..

The showrooms for this bike had not opened then (dunno if its open yet). Temporary registration was done by Honda, we did not get it registered in Delhi as we want a West Bengal(kolkata) reg.no. The bike was opened first time in front of us. They had no provision for delivery to kolkata, so we had to make our own arrangements for transport. except the transport, all other things were done by Honda... but now we'll have to get the registration done
