  • How to protect bike in rains??

    Hi friends,

recently i was gone out of city for 11days. in the eleven days my bike pulsar 150 was not riden by anyone. during those days heavy rains were striking city and when i came back and started bike it did start in one kick but look what happened
" all the buttons were damn tight that i cannot even switch ON headlights, horn button was too tight to say and every thing else was working like i was driving abike which has all jammed parts"
    please suggest what to do..

keep it covered with a nice garage cover. Get a thick one. the blue or silver coloured ones.
and get switch and console covers. also oil the chain, the moving parts like brake levers and all. and keep it covered when it rains heavily.

Spray WD40 at the switches, locks etc to loosen them up, WD40 also acts are water repellant and rust inhibitor.
Man will occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of the time he will pick himself up and continue on.

          WD40 is a oil (based) lube-spray...

now there are other alternatives from pidlite etc (i forgot the name) but go to a hardware store or a engine oil store and ask for it!

              ACF-50
              Where did you get it?

Saw this on the website: ACF-50 is good for rubber, preventing it from cracking or drying out.

I wonder if it can be used to clean o-ring chains...

dont think you will find it in india

                    got it from here:

ACF-50 ANTI-CORROSION BLOCK COMPOUND from Aircraft Spruce

it has nice sweet smell & leaves a oily coat on the metal surface.

my avenger silencer is prone to small rust spots if i leave it idle,i clean my bike & give it spray with this,no rust spots

Hmm... the silencer quality must be very poor. But does the ACF 50 remain effective on the silencer? Asking because the silencer is bound to get very hot in operation.

You bought it online from that site? Do they ship to India??

I use the same lube. Chain clean is too expensive so im gonna stick with diesel.

Shame the ACF thing is not available in India.
