    [Ownership Thread]: TVS Scooty (All Versions)

    I bought Scooty Streak for my Sister last month. I was very happy with Scooty Pep which she earlier rode(Haven't sold it). When i test rode the streak i found it extremely peppy and light for Females to ride and it has decent acceleration even two up.

    I gave it for the first service Day before yesterday and after getting it back i parked it. Next morning my Dad took it for some work, in the morning i saw some oil stains on the floor but i thought it might be some extra lubricant falling. But after a few kms of my dad's ride the sound of the engine changed then i took it to the shoroom without starting it.
    I was annoyed with this, But to my surprise they took the matter very seriously and gave me the scooty within half an hour.
    The mechanic had not put the head gasket properly so the oil fell. Also everything was free of cost.
    Never upgrade without getting your basics RIGHT.

        Didn't found any threads so started this one.
        I am having this Scooty i generally use it when i go to a general store or when there is rain i ride this for saving my legs from the splashes of water. It is very good for congested traffic as it is very light and less bulkier.

              Help Me To Get A New Airfilter Assenbly For TVS Scooty Streak

              few months ago i found a crack on the hose which connects air filter to the carburetor..i tried to get the spare part from tvs asc but they kept saying it will arrive next Tuesday.
              failing which i trimmed out the cracked part and attached a HP universal airfilter
              now also after 2-3 months i am not able to get the spare part from tvs asc
              what should i do ?
              I know that local airfilter can damage my engine therefore i need to replace it as soon as i can

                Not able to get tvs spare parts

                I need a new air filter assembly for my tvs scooty streak..which i am not able to procure from a long time..
                The only tvs asc here in noida keeps on delaying
                What can i do?

                    It is a complete airfilter assembly..
                    The hose from this to the carb. Was damaged

                      That's the air filter box. Try asking in local spares shop.
                      If not drop in an email to tvs and see if that helps

                        TVS Scooty Streak -- 2500 kms (or) 6 Months for Engine oil change!!!!

                        Hi,

                        My sister's uses scooty streak for only 150 km per month..

                        what is the proper way to change the engine oil i.e, 2500 kms (or) after 6 months of every change....

                        Please help...

                            Water in fuel tank..What to do now ?

                            My scooty was parked out in the open where it rained heavily from past 3 days..
                            Last night i tried to start it, after 30-40 kicks it started but died as soon as the accelerator was turned..
                            I suspected water entering the engine through air filter but this is what i found today

                              TVS Scooty Streak starting problem

                              Hi Guys,


                              My TVS scooty streak has recently come from service last week. In service the carb,airfilter was cleaned.
                              Post servicing I am facing an with running the scooty.
                              Whenever I start the scooty, it idles for a while but as soon as I open the throttle to move forward, the engine gets killed.
                              The condition gets better if I play around and raise the idling but only for sometime, later again the engine stops.
                              it sounds and feels like the engine is getting choked and stopping.


                              Few pointers:
                              Idling is not low but normal.
                              I have checked the fuel line and pumped out any air which might have been there, petrol is flowing fine.
                              I have changed the spark plug adapter and it worked for last 3 days but today morning it again conked off.
                              Sparg plug seems to be fine but planning to replace and see.


                              PS: While this issue happens, the electric start cranks but fails to start, I have to kick start it.


                              Please help.
