Nice one this...in the Indian context,

Best 5 according to me
1. Thunderbird (what a name...as thunderous as it sounds)
2. Shogun (Japanese for "Boss"...and it was a Boss)
3. Fury (Nice name for a furious bike...pity that it was hopelessly built)
4. Pulsar (the actual meaning of this word is nice)
5. Eliminator (was in the "Punisher" synonymous mode)

There are many more that are nice...like Wings (KEL, 35cc moped), KB Colt (KB RTZ second version), Bajaj Legend...

Actually, I feel that the "Avenger" should have been named "Discover" to sync with its touring capabilities.

4. Karizma (no meaning for such a class bike)

I guess I will be the first one when I say my most FAVOURITE name among bikes is

Pulsar

Why? Coz I knew that 'pulsar' was something in physics.. some star with weird properties, that initially when scientists sighted one of them, they thought it was Aliens or something (from the weird behaviour) .. I liked to think that Bajaj chose this name because the bike was like nothing seen before in Indian market... Ppl would be speechless, wouldn't know what to do at first.. etc. and finally, it was revolutionary. Just great.
I wonder how many pulsarians actually know the meaning.. behind their steeds.

Next is

Hayabusa

Why? Even before I knew what Hayabusa meant, actually much before I was interested in bikes, I was really interested in wildlife from my childhood. Always wanted to know the fastest, biggest, etc. animals that live on earth (like any other boy fascinated with nature and animals). The peregrine falcon was the fastest in the air, and everywhere. It circles high above the land, sighting for prey with its telescope like vision, and when it sees something that can be its next prospective meal, it shoots downwards through the sky, actually makes itself into an aerodynamic missile shape (like a fighter plane that retracts its wings for speed) and the highest speed its supposed to reach during the dive is... 280 kmph. Hayabusa speeds anyone ? Thats what hayabusa means .. Peregrine Falcon.. I'm sure most of you know the meaning but not much about the particular bird of prey.

I'm sure there are some other gems like this..
Rest all are some generic names to me, picked out of a thesaurus, no offense to any1.. I myself own a Passion + . I hate the name, loathe the symbol, love the bike.
