Exclamation Query

I have a noob query...
Does the clutch setting have an effect on the clutch plates or for that matter on anything else?

I learnt somewhere from the earlier posts that a clutch setting with 5-6 threads gives us smoother/softer gear shifts. It worked and i have maintained that setting.
Thanks to the guy who discovered and shared this.
Now this setting causes the clutch to have a full swing (full clutch).Previously, I was accustomed to ride on the half clutch setting, but have now got used to this full clutch setting. My knowledge about clutch and gears is limited, hence wanted to understand if the setting that i have now has any adverse effects.

That picture actually makes more sense if you flip it upside-down.

Default Motul 300v Engine Oil "Bangalore"..

Hey all...
I am looking for some help here.
Im planning to change my engine oil to Motul 300v FL 15w50 Fully Synthetic. I called up Cherry Agencies, Bangalore and inquired about the pricing. The person is quoting Rs. 950/- for a litre... I read a few posts here saying that its around 795 or so..
Has the price gone up all the way to 950 bucks ?

And also, who do I talk to at AutoService, Banashankari? I'm planning to get my first paid service done there...

All help on these will be much appreciated..

Edit :- I just got in touch with one of our xBhp members who deals in Motul producs.. So the Oil issue is solved... Waiting for your suggestions on the AutoService, Banashankari, Bangalore...

Hi. I know its normal and if you say your 220 would never make that sound with 150kg load on it(rider + pillion) than i m ..you can climb but you would never be able to accelerate with 150 kg on your bike uphill without that sound.
In my lavasa ride even the hyosung 650r was finding it hard to accelerate at the climbs and you say your 220 can accelerate without any hesitation.and the word accelerate has different meanings to different people...to some guys going to 100 in 20 secs is acceleration and to others reachin 100kmph in 10-11sec is accelerating

The roads to lavasa are no different.superb tarmac..not even a single pot hole..the best weekend getaway for riders who like to lean the bike at corners at high speeds...a must go for all riders in and around Pune. And be sure to see super bikes there on weekends.I was fortunate to catch a guy from Garware Motors who was testing the bike there...

this time, i was actually not as satisfied as the free services.
the bike feels a lot harsh now and i dont find a valid reason for being so.

1. no engine oil change, i changed it 1.3k kms ago. ( proper grade).
2. tried setting the carb, but to no avail.
3. lubed the chain properly, but still harshness is felt.

i dont know the reason, but the bike was not this harsh before i gave it for servicing.
any solutions are most welcome!

ride safe,
cheers.
I think I can relate to that, my explanation is that at each service they readjust the chain n that sets a lil higher than usual viberation for some day, maybe that, atleast I have felt it after most of the servicing
