Truck carrying loose building materiel - watch out!

Stuff like sand, gravel or even rocks falling out of trucks. You've probably seen it before and were angry at the trucker. Keep a sharp look-out for such inconsiderate morons and stay either way behind them or way ahead of them.

You cant , unless you have a blown out bulb.
This situation only happens when either of the high beam or low beam is fused out. Its a method to bring attention to the user that the bulb has blown out.

I am riding solo, on tour, none of the luggage is fouling with with the rear wheel. But still there is a kat kat noise coming from the rear wheel whenever the bike is on the move. 1 kat for every rotation of the wheel. No noise when I try to rotate the wheel putting the bike on main stand. Could anyone help me diagnose this?

And yes, the noise comes even if I ride without luggage.

The bike is 3years 1 day old and the odo reads 412xx km.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

Doesnt seem like a Bearing issue, then it should sound even when the wheel is rotated in main stand. Did you try greasing the bearings and check, just to be sure ?
check the chain cover, if its loose and moving about while the bike is moving, less chance for it to move while rotated on center stand.

Is the sound really loud and noticable or is it just a mild one ?

    Cheers

Krish sir, the bearings/rear wheel is not under load when on center stand. It is under its own weight. Is there any possibility that the bearings are making noise under stress/weight/on the move?

That's a possibility , well the thing is , in the monsoons when a lot of water and dirt enter the bearing it starts making a lot of noise, this tak-tak noise itself, that is prominent even when rolled on the main stand. But you do have a point here. That's why i asked him to grease the bearings just to conform.

Just disconnect the low beam socket from the bulb, switch on the headlight on low beam and see the magic! It doesn't only indicate the user of fused bulb but also avoid the risk of sudden darkness while riding at night. Even if a bulb fuses on the move, the other bulb will be switched on at the instant, avoiding any accident due to low light.

Its the bearings. Greasing won't help much as the balls have worn off. Also check the chain links and the link lock.
Both the cases will make the kat-kat sound while under load only. The sound will increase with increased load like pillion(s).

How old is ur sprocket set?
remove cover near gear lever and check for teeth breakages in front sprocket and check for chain hardness in links..

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END
