Post Bsa a7 ss shooting star

Hi everyone.I am riding bikes since i was in 5th grade. My first bike was a James hand gear model. After that i i learn to ride scooter.Than my dad restored a vespa for me when i was in 6th grade on which i used to go in rally with my dad.But later when i came in 9th grade my dad gave me a Matchless G3LS 350cc which i ride for 3years and attended many rallies on it.Motorcycles are getting into my nerves day by day.

But after Matchless i got a modified chopper bullet which no longer stayed with me.For one year i didn't ride a bike. But when i came in 11th grade on 17th birthday my dad presented me a BSA A7 which was damn good when i ride it first time.I remember when i ride first time RD 350 i don't know about that bike means about its power i thought that its like the same other vintage bikes.I gave the instant throttle to it and it jumped in 2nd gear that time i was scared i stopped and look at bike and thinking that what i am driving my heart beat was increased. But when i took BSA for ride i can't forget that sound i never heard that sound.I stretched it to 110 km after coming back to home i read its manual and i found that its 30bhp at 5800rpm, with a top speed of 90mph.From that day no other bike i like.Even i take a ride on BSA A10 which is 650cc but no comparison.I am speech less i don't know how to express about that bike. After that on noida express highway i stretched it to its maximum.

I never ever forget this bike and its sound.

Ah nice bike bro...

Just a tip, collect your thoughts and then write.... it becomes a bit taxing otherwise.
I can understand the thrill and excitement....
I do remember my first experience on a bike, and what a bike it was... the mighty RD...
I do remember one of my society - uncles Yezdi .. phew!

Being mechanical minded gave me the oppertunity to work with the Motorcycle and Car workshops in our area, and have worked on and ridden BSAs (M20, M21, C15 etc.) Nortons, AJS, Matchless, Enfield ( from 150cc to 350 cc), almost all Scooters, Vicky, BSA Winged Wheel, Rajdoot, Fantambulus etc. Stopped riding when I left college and started working.
Again started riding in the late 1970's when I bought my brother's Enfield Bullet. Sold the bullet when moved to Bangalore. In 1985 I rode my friend's RD-350 and decided to buy one. But due to my better half's opposition ended up acquiring the Sunbeam-S8 ( a basket case ). Took me 3 years to restore the Sunbeam and since then using it ( occassionally). In 1987 bought my BSA A50.Till now no maintenance other than routine has been done on this machine. I maintain these 2 machines myself. Also I have my son’s Hero Honda CBZ which again I use occasionally. I am attaching the photo of the Jawa on which I learned riding and also the Photo of my 1st Bike – The Enfield Bullet.
