Wow! Duc 1098!!! Gorgeous! Vivek Oberoi bought one recently(Yellow colour).

Hi friends, just got back from Palace grounds where the event was held.
had a lot of enthu till I reached there. but alas! most of the major players of the Indian Automotive Market were absent, which includes Yamaha and Hero Honda in bikes category and Maruti, Audi, HM, Mercedes, BMW in cars category to name a few. I was very disappointed.
There was a stall of TopGear supercars which had a few products of interest.
present were a Toyota Supra, a BMW X5, a Nissan 3000, a Ducati Monster, Ducati Hypermotrad and a 1098.
The companies who brought their bikes were Honda, Suzuki, TVS, Bajaj and Mahindra.
In the Honda stall, apart from the Stunner, CB Twister,etc. there was the CB1000R but the CBR1000RR was absent. Though the Intruder was there.
Mahindra displayed their scooters. TVS had all their bikes including the newly launched Jive.
There were stalls from Skoda, Tata, Mahindra and GM for cars.

The show stealer was the Chevrolet Camaro SS from GM, full with the Transformers logo.

There were the usual stalls of Engine oils, K&N air filters,etc. and some modifiers.
One particular stall had a HH Splendor modded to look like the CBR1000R complete with the front fairing from Yam R15.

Overall the Show was a disappointment for me as I was expecting a lot.

i am assuming that the hot bike babes were also missing as yamaha is the only co, that hires them in bangy motor shows,
man there were a killer bunch(some famous models like rashmi buntwal) last time in jan 2009 ,the best you could probably see anywhere in india ,glad i could see them .

Ducati takes us for fools... but I caught them RED handed .

The bike displayed here is Monster 696 with dual swingarm and cost is around 10 lakhs.

Launch of Ducati Showroom in Delhi/Gurgaon, Talk with Nicky Hayden!

When I questioned a guy from Ducati he confirmed that it was a 696 (The no. is actually mentioned only on top of the tank) and informed that they have displayed it coz they cannot sell it.

For I moment I was confused, but then realized it was due to ARAI homologation rules on bikes less than 800cc.
