Default All hail the Ducati Diavel

The new Ducati Super Bad Monster has been christened as the Ducati Diavel. Revealed by MCN.

The bike does give a Devlish aura and looks damn menacing. Nothing much has been revealed about the specs though, but judging by the sheer appearance of the bike, and the whole suspense that has been built around, it should be another earth shattering episode from the Italian giant.

First look aesthetics does match a lot with the current crop of Ducati Monsters, but what I'm interested most, is the engine. The above pic is definitely not the final factory version, which surely would have a lot more clothing on it, but still the looks are enough to send your heart beat racing in anticipation of something jaw dropping.

Keeping figures crossed to see and faint when the final product comes out!!

From MCN

Quote:
It’s been called the ‘Vyper’, ‘Mega Monster’ and ‘Project 0803’ but Ducati’s new muscle bike will be called ‘Diavel’ MCN can exclusively reveal.

As well as registering the name for its new sports-cruiser, Ducati has registered Diavel for everything from clothing to watches and even cosmetics and toys – suggesting it will be aiming to cash in on the bikes’ appearance with a full range of accessories and memorabilia right from day one.

As you might imagine, Diavel means ‘devil’, although it’s from the Bolognese dialect used in the region around Ducati’s factory, rather than the more usual Italian 'Diavolo' or 'Diablo'

A quick look at the rear tire, suggests that the engine should be in the range of 200hp or +, for which such a traction is required!!

I'm seeing it as a competition to the King - V-Max!! what say??

I wouldnt use that logic, fat tyres on cruisers are more of a styling norm rather than for any practical reasons. However, the mill from Ducati on this should be definitely powerful, but I doubt it will be 150+ hp.

I wouldnt exactly call this a cruiser.

To me it looks more like a MT-01 rip-off.

A worthy addition to Ducati's stable.
But it will cost a bomb.

Is this an upgrade or replacement to any existing model?

It is an all new model.

Did anyone notice the practically non-existent rear seat?
