Default Recall: Ducati Diavel

Holy cow Ducati in Recall ave...
Yes the Diavel is in the picture of getting a recall of its 964 units for a faulty license plate holder mount. Affecting Diavels manufactured between September 23, 2010 and May 12, 2011.
All the models are going to be replaced with new mounts in their service centers.

Well the defect has taken place due to the brass inserts that are installed in the chain guard, which may deform over time, and result in the possible loosening of the license plate holder retaining screws on the swingarm. Because of this defect, the license plate holder could come loose and interfere with the rear wheel rotation, which could cause a crash.

They are also replacing the chain guard free of charge with an updated version that has been manufactured with steel inserts instead of brass ones.

Thumbs down

Ducati is in all sorts of problems--other being rossi and his ducati in motogp

well, atleast this one is not as serious, and more importantly, it does not involve key component like engine or electronic parts.
