Think about it- Someone (ordinary citizen, not a terrorist) drives rash, kills few people, you notice the person's vehicle number but the Police then tells you that the person has abandoned the address, or the address doesn't exist?? Or that the guilty person used his relative's address to get his vehicle's registration and is still absconding?
Its a long term move, and should spread to other RTO's sooner than later.
I am saying theres a reason - move mismatch...

And what you say is true... And that will still happen... Just the "extra" income will increase...

If they manage to have compulsory electronic number plates with NFC (Near Field Communication) alongwith some Police equipments that read those number plates wirelessly, some people might get employment and bike thefts & misuse might get reduced and caught.
Now, that would be B's + Nips + everything above and below it...
it has taken them so long to make the rules stricter.... are you kidding me with NFC!!!!

Due to this had to postpone ( might have to cancel !!!) my CBR delivery .. they are too much stricter.. showed them 3 address proofs and still was not accepted by them ..

Now I never understood the license issued by RTO is not valid as address proof in the same RTO office .. One more thing I realized that if you are from the same state why can;t you accept home address as proof . If this is the case then don't keep the registration numbers with state's initials ..

yeh saale police ka dimaag bahot chota hota hain, sirf common man ko trouble karna aata hain, naake naake pe bikers, cars ko pakadke, helmet, seatbelt ke liye challan aur rishwat lete hain, lekin terrorist attack jab hota hain to ekdum clueless rehte hain ;(

there are 10000 ways for anyone to find loophole and use this, best and most is stealing car or stealing car and changing number plate to some police cars number, so even if number is noted and traced it will lead to police station only, and is of no use, actually while leaving my earlier city we sold our sunny (bajaj sunny) to one person for 1300 rs and just gave him RC book and papers, also sold my scooty to one friend all these sales done without changing ownership coz neither me the buyer and nor the seller were interested in it,, its more than 2 years i left the city, and in the address where i used to live we sold it to another person.. but not to worry coz i dont think terrorists use bajaj sunny (50 CC) and tvs scooty (80 CC ) bikes and all are sold to trusted friends . persons...
now from this post feel ive done wrong but neither of owner buyer was ready to pay agent charges of 500- 700 rs to RTO for transferring ownership of vehicle sold for not more than 2K ;(
