TVS Motor Sept sales up 17%

TVS Motor Co, India's third-largest two-wheeler maker, said on Saturday its total sales in September rose 17 percent from a year earlier.

HMSI sales zoom 44%

Two-wheeler manufacturer Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today reported 44% jump in its total sales to 1,78,462 units in September.

The company's total sales stood at 1,23,831 units in the corresponding month last year, HMSI said in a statement. Motorcycle sales grew 21% to 71,018 units last month, as against 58,508 units in September 2010, it added.

The company reported 64% jump in scooter sales to 1,07,444 units last month compared to 65,323 units in the year-ago period.

India Yamaha Motor sales up 28%

Two-wheeler maker India Yamaha Motor today reported 28% increase in total sales in September at 43,462 units.
The company had sold 33,944 units in the same month last year, India Yamaha Motor said in a statement. In the domestic market, the company's sales stood at 32,637 units as against 24,133 units in the same month last year, up 35.2%.

Exports of India Yamaha rose 10.3% to 10,825 units during the month from 9,811 units in the year-ago period, it added. Commenting on the sales India Yamaha Motor Director, Sales & Marketing, Jun Nakata said: "We are very happy with our sales performance this month which can be attributed to our deluxe & premium segment bikes such as FZ series and YZF-R15. The newly launched R15 version 2.0 has also been received very well in the market and we are trying our best to meet the growing demand."

He added, "Our powerful commuter SZ bike also continues to grow at a brisk pace. With the festive season around the corner, we expect our sales momentum to continue over the next few months."

Suzuki Motorcycle sales up 29%

Two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle India today reported 29% increase in sales in September this year to 29,094 units.

The company had sold 22,545 units in the same month last year, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL) said in a statement. Commenting on the sales growth, SMIPL, Vice-President, Sales and Marketing Atul Gupta said: "We have received very good response from the market to all our products. The growing customer satisfaction among present owners of Suzuki products has led to a positive word-of-mouth in the market. We are committed to give the best to our customers."

There's a ridiculous waiting period for the old technology (except CC increase, combi brakes in recent times) on Activa (and sometime for Dio), while, good products such as WEGO are available almost immediately. What I'm concerned is to see is, how good product such as WEGO, Duro etc are selling in the market.

BTW, what do you mean by one side scooter?

Hero MotoCorp: Hero MotoCorp. the world’s no. 1 two wheeler company has posted growth of 26.75% in the month of September 2011 compared to September 2010. The company has sold 5,49,625 units of two wheeler in the month of September 2011 compared to 4,33,641 units of two wheeler sold in the month of September 2010. This is by far company’s highest ever sales till the date.
