More info would be added later as it would be available.

Yamaha grows 27%, Honda 19% and Hero around 1%. Inversely proportional to their market position. Well, Hero can't grow by 15% because it will break all records if that happens. Yes, The breakup with Honda might have resulted in some customer mindset changes but not so much. People still believe that "Hum me hai Hero".

If it is the retail sales, then Hero MotoCorp has sold around 6.5 lakhs vehicles in the month of Oct.

According to the press release, TVS is showing lesser sales number in Oct 2011 (1,83,718 units) compared to Oct 2010 (1,95,271 units).
So that's actually means a decline.

Hero MotoCorp has also registered just 1% increase in Oct 2011. Domestic sales of BAL also seems flat, its just that it had had good growth in exports.

With cars sales are already down, I am getting a feeling that recession will catch up with 2 wheeler sales as well.

Hmm... you are right. The figures are not as per the sentences used. The Business Standard confirms your keen observations, Satadal bro.

TVS Motors Oct sales marginally dip to 183,718 units

Recession and finally Depression might still take 1-3 years more... Right now, its more of a Boom period that's going on. Let them enjoy the sun while it lasts...
