Guys, HMSI's growth comes as a surprise, as they were the ones not able to provide immediate vehicle delivery.

But even bigger surprise was Hero MotoCorp's sales growth. Hmm, it seems the customers have now accepted Hero as it is, without really rejecting the brand due to the missing "Honda". So, if I become a CEO, I'll address all the stakeholders as "my sons and family members". Apparently in India, that does the trick!

Yamaha as usual is expanding on to Teir II and III cities with no new releases and we ask ourselves, was performance ever their religion? Well, yes of course, but maybe the money overshadowed it.

Suzuki says they're committed to give their customers their "best". Yeah, good sweet talk right there. No serious updates, not even one Indian bike with a monoshock, no big technology, etc. and they claim to be "giving their best"... Not to be critical, but their so called "Commitment" doesn't show in their products.

More than half the people do not understand the difference between Splendor & Shine, so its tard difficult to make them know Hero & Honda are two different players

GS150R is one good VFM product from Suzuki; besides they're the ones having the highest number of models lined up in CBU's to be sold here. The problem with Suzuki is that, they don't have a wide spread ASC even in metros.

Thanks bro for the kind words. These figures are not booking figures, these are "actual motorcycles sold" to the dealers... So yes, Honda did improve their supply it seems, over this year.

And not surprisingly, Scooters grew by over 70%! No wonder everyone wants an Activa, specially after its 110cc engine & CBS updates.

About GS150R, yes, its a good bike. But in today's competition, it desperately needs a USP.
6 gears is not a USP, its more of a comfort compromise for commuters.
Look at Unicorn for example, good mileage, enough mid range, monoshocks, new edition as Dazzler, etc.
Zues' update to Slingshot was fine, but its about time that GS be updated too. CBU wise, yes, Suzuki is doing good.

Ever since suzuki returned for a second(or third?) innings, they have been trying to match Honda in every category.
They brought in Access against the activa, Heat and Zeus against the shine and GS150R against the Unicorn.
By this statement, I mean to indicate that apart from the monoshock suspension, the other USPs of the Unicorn apply to the GS150R as well.

The suspension of the GS150R matches the comfort if not beating the Unicorn's monoshock anyday. Just like the monoshock is a 'handling' compromise for commuters, the 6th cog is 'comfort' compromise too. It has one of the best digital consoles in the country too.

I'm not starting any brand feuds here but just trying to point out that even though Suzuki have given India a great product, people are unaware of the USPs and even the presence of the bike. xBhpians are promoting the bike more than the company. But if you visit the GS150R ownership thread, you will find a spike in the number of new buyers.

HMSI :1,99,154
TVS :1,75,535

Hey did you all notice that this month HMSI has ovetaken TVS and now HMSI moves to third position in terms of sales. Honda seems to be firing on all cylinders after the split from Hero. Majority of the growth though is from the scooters which has long waiting list. We need to wait and watch if the waiting list continues for some more time or not as now it has additional production capacity. Personally i feel scooters should hold on to this figure around 1,30,000 and further growth might be an issue for Honda, since TVS, Hero and Yamaha too coming out with new models. So going ahead not only for motorcycles but even for scooters Honda is going to see cut throat competetion.

Consumers will have the filed day.....
