Default Boorman and McGregor planning another Long Way Down?

EWAN McGregor and Charley Boorman are talking about a third motorcycle adventure, according to Boorman.

In an interview on Saturday Morning Kitchen, Boorman talked about his motorcycle adventures with actor-pal McGregor and said that the duo were in discussion about a third adventure follow-up to Long Way Round and Long Way Down.

The pair hit the headlines in 2004 when they started off on their Long Way Round motorcycle adventure, riding east from London to New York. In 2007, the pair's next trip was called Long Way Down, where they rode from Scotland to South Africa.

Since the Long Way episodes, Boorman has filmed By Any Means and Extreme Frontiers. In By Any Means, Boorman headed from Ireland to Australia, using any transport available. The program often showed Boorman freaking out when locals tried to make him to anything slightly off-track. In Extreme Frontiers, Boorman heads across Canada on his motorcycle and suffers a panic attack when diving in Lake Huron. Karl Pilkington, eat your heart out.

Movie or no movie, they live their life better than most of the people on planet.

Have meet Charlie personally. He is an absolute inspiration and fun. He tours around south africa every year and anyone who can afford 8000 pounds can register for the ride with him. If they do a sequel to the previous 2 trips, it will be EPIC.

PS: can anyone tell me any online shop for buying full series of Long way round, long way down or by any means?

Although on some international biking forums Iwan & Charlie are criticized for the big sponsors who pay them, support crew & vehicles etc, however, as a biker I fully appreciate their effort. After all the hard core riding part can not be stage-managed or choreographed! Besides, in many places they stay & eat in ordinary places and inspite of their celebrity status they are very comfortable sharing a meal in a poor mans hut etc. Surely, these guys also feature in the list of riders who inspired me. Although, Ted Simon of Jupiter Travels & Helge Pedersen of Globeriders head the list for me.

I already have watched their LWR & LWD umpteen times and if they are doing another trip, I eagerly look forward to it.

Great news . I really loved their show .

Very coincidently , these guys were to do their show on a nice KTM Tourer . KTM however were very jittery about the future of the show and just in the last month of the show going on road KTM pulled out . Thats when BMW stepped in as they had launched their new 1200GS around that time and there werent many takers . That was the turning point in the 1200GS history that made it one of the top selling bikes of its class as the show was a great hit worldwide .
