Honda Motorcycles opened its third plant in India in Kolar, Karnataka.Keeping with its aggressive Indian strategy, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI)has opened its third plant in Kolar district of Karnataka. 
The third plant of HMSI has been opened in Narasapur in Kolar district. The plant is spread over 96 acres. It is Honda's third plant, with the first two being in Manesar, Haryana and Tapukara, Rajasthan. The plant which costs 1350 crore rupees, will provide employment to 4500 people. 4500 is not an inflated figure. It will be inclusive of back-train workers along with the front line and management and support staff.

Are you sure no other Honda bike is going to be manufactured here? I heard the CBR's are also being built here.

HMSI to expand capacity by 2014 to 4.6 million units
The major beneficiaries of the new plant and its production will be people living in Bangalore, Kochi, Trivandrum, Chennai, Hyderabad and Vizag. They are currently 1 lakh customers waiting for the Activa in these cities.
