Default Hi-tech tamper-proof number plates soon

These hi-tech plates are common worldwide to prevent theft of vehicles, use of vehicles for terrorism purposes and other illegal activities.
The high security number plates will be implemented from January 1, 2005.

this time i m not gonna change my plate in the very first week...
these stupid norms changes every other day... & we have to just go to the no. plate makers & throw our money at them...!

& i think only some specific govt. agencies or so are entitled to produce such plates ...so that will create a chaos...
since we have 80 million vehicles on road already (as per article)...!

& sinec the process of conversion will take some time ... upto Jan 2007 (as per article) ... i'll be among the last ones to get such plates for my vehicles ...!

more over these plates will cost much more than current plates...! atleast 500 bucks for a set...!

stupid authorities... ** both thumbs down**

I don't think Indian thieves are tech savvy yet ..these number plates will be equipped with RFID.
