Default NEWS: Two Wheeler price hike

Bad news for ppl planning to buy one... Or maybe u can buy one when u have the time

MUMBAI: Leading two-wheeler majors are under increasing pressure to raise prices, given the uptrend in input costs. While Bajaj Auto is planning a 1-2% hike, Hero Honda and TVS Motors are reviewing their prices.

But industry observers have dismissed this as a ploy to clear stocks. Fierce competition had prevented these companies from hiking prices of motorcycles in the past year. The cost of steel, plastic and metal has been going up for the past few months.

R Chandramouli, V-P, TVS Motors, said, “The cost pressure has been in the range of
3-4% and we have been absorbing it without passing any price increase to the customer.”

But it also mentions that the Pulsar '05 model (thats what they call it) is already selling at the higher price.. so no hikes for pulsar
