i might sound stupid on this but wat're bajaj guys upto ??
a 150 cc pulsar produces around 12 bhp approx
& a 180 cc produces 15 bhp.....
that is in increase of 30 cc approx & 3 bhps approx
now if they're raising the cc to 225 that is 45 cc up from 180
the bhp's should also come up proportionally...that's around 4.5 bhp...if not that much atleast 3 bhp..
an increase of 1.5 to 2.5 bhps sounds kinda stupid to me atleast...

had asked bajaj auto thru their site this is what the reply was:

i asked "i just picked up a copy
of the "AUTO INDIA" magazine and
> there is this article about
the pulsar upgrade showing the changes such as
> clear lens MFR
tail lamp, twin spark plugs ,improved gear box. etc...
> is this true
> and when is this bike being launched???
> august end
> please
tell me coz i have booked a pulsar 180 and dont want it 2 become

> outdated when this one comes out
> please its a humble request to tell me when this bike is coming "

they replied::::

Dear Anevesh,

The article which you have refered previews the Pulsar variant
which is still
in the testing stage.

The R&D team is still working on the same and the
launch may be in the next
couple of months.

We have no concrete details as yet.

Thanks for your interest and writing in,

Warm regards,

Bajaj Auto Team
