oh ... that good then ... btw just 3.5k extra for disc?? For CBZ hh used to charge around 5k extra.
Anyone knows the diff in pricing (confirmed) between the Disc and non Disc Versions of the Wind 125?

If I am not wrong it is around 2-2.5 K. Surely less than 3.5 K.

Even for the F2 its around 3 K max (Nav... can U check)

On the other hand in the Bullet...it is around 5 K (or more).

But I feel like car seatbelts. The decision of a disc (simply because it is a safety feature) should not be left to the customer. It should be either there (preferably) or not! And For any lower bike... Dawn, Wind, Boxer, Spendor, an after market kit should allow fitment.

Exactly Nav... this is what the pricing should be. So for a person spending 50K+ on a F2, this is hardly 5% of the cost. Still I bet most of the people will go in for the Drum version.

So u can imagine how many people will buy the 3.5K Disc on the 45K+ Passion, when most of them are not looking for performance out of their machine.

Besides, most indians (including me) Don't even have a habit of using the front brake! It comes from a habit of cycling and scootering where they tend to skid and lock on pressing the front brake.

So I guess motorcyclists should be taught to use the Front brake and if a disc is provided it should be standard!

Reminds me... when I took the Pulsar out for a test ride, the blockhead sitting behind me asked me not to use the disc brake because it was very sudden! After that I tested its limits with some really hard braking and told him how good it was.

The most weird answer I got was when I was test riding the P180 a few months ago. The showroom guy told me that the disc brake should not be used when the bike is doing 55-60+, as usig the discs at this speeds damages the system...c'mon man if u wnat to brake at speeds less than 60, even the rear brake is more than enough....
But its always better to use a combination of the front and rear brakes than just using any one of them only...

hehe, that showroom guy needs to know that the rear brake of pulsar is useless at 80+kph, even if the wheel locks up, the bike comes to a halt leisurely. Front disc kicks ass though.

How did these suckers get these jobs ? Do they mean to say that those auto engineers who toiled 4yrs or more in college and got hired by these corporates are morons to put discs in front instead of rear ?
By that (ill)logic , the foreign bikemakes must be total idiots they'll say , to put 2 big discs in front .

Ah yes , some engineers are morons , I know one who said the same ( disc should be at rear instead of front ) and he was the supervisor , one of the top guys at the car delaership .

Ha , idiots !

HahHahahahahahaha HH is fooling the daily commuters man a DISK ION PASSION MAN IT ISN'T WORTH IT AND LOOK AT THE DISK IT'S THE SAME DISK AS ON cbz AND THE aMBITION , looks like that hhonda only likes one kinda of disk patterns, whereas on the bikes of bajaj the disk are of different shape and also do meet the requirements, just think a passioin is a commuter bike and it isn't worth a disk brake and all those cool stickers which make it look like a bigger twin or a four cly bike.Man a single cly bike should look like one and not like a ny other. Its like modifing a luna with a full fairing.
