Harley-Davidson Harley Anounces New Electric Cruiser "Juice" (petrol free biking)

In an effort to bolster H-D's sales Keith E. Wandell has announced a new addition to Harley. Harley is facing a challenging time. I feel it's time to market to a new breed of rider. We are looking to attract the eco-friendly riders of tomorrow. There are a lot of opportunities in the sport bike segment. I have directed our R & D department to focus on the desires of this younger generation. Wandell also stated by 2012 Harley will have a whole new look. Our customer base is full of dinosaurs and we must make the necessary changes to survive. "Juice" is just the first step of many changes.

I am using the Attach Files option of XBHP forum for the first time - so don't know if you can see the 3 JPEG file photos I attached in this post.

This machine is ugly!!!

Does this Juice have any sub-woofers attached to hollow pipes to produce that exhaust beat?

I guess it won't sell otherwise

As a purist, I do find this disgusting.

But more than disgusting, it is a sad reality.

Already hybrid and electronic cars have a substantial market in USA and elsewhere in developed countries.

I guess unless some benevolent alien race gives us a special technology or intergallactic petrol pipeline - THIS IS EVERYONE's FUTURE !

Well, at least they could have given a retro look instead of this toy Tobu cycle.

Nice Photoshop work done by the Harley Davidson team.
So this an electric bike and when will the make a harley with LPG or CNG like our Bajaj.

Hi,

In the past Harley Davidson has also made a scooter - The Harley Topper
(See its Advertisement in Motorcycle Advertisement thread)

And you wouldn't believe it they have made
Golf Carts as well.

BTW I wonder if HD makes an entry into "sport bike" segment, What will happen to Buell? Are these 2 companies separated now?

Just wondering, what kind of feeling will it give? Lookswise its not that bad to my eyes but maybe the lack of that grunting sound and ofcourse the potato beat might be missed sorely by one and all.
