Default Yamaha to launch Fazer 150

Yamaha in India seems to be on a mission --- to bombard the 150cc segment with numerous new and exciting models, as the shell-shocked competition watches on in disbelief. The latest missile from the bike maker is what looks like a scaled down version Yamaha's popular international sportsbike - the Fazer 1000. The Fazer in its 150cc avatar was caught being tested on Indian roads recently and images of which have been posted on various automotive forums on the Internet.

Yamaha is gradually heading towards the top-slot of performance bike makers post the launch of new-age bikes like the R15, FZ-16 and FZ-S which have caused serious damage to the sales figure of the current leading performance bike makers. TVS on the other hand is ready to launch the bigger Apache RTR 180 which will spice things up further in the Indian performance bikes segment. Surely, Indian bike enthusiast are not complaining.

The Fazer 150 will be based on the FZ-16 and will sport a muscular front fairing. Though the new bike will have the same engine which might be tuned for improved performance. We expect no major changes in the pricing of the Fazer 150 and could bear FZ-S' price tag. The FZ-S is priced at Rs 75,115 (OTR Pune).

Since the Fazer 150 is being tested exhaustive on Indian roads, guess we don't have to wait too long for the launch of the bike

Isn't there already a thread to discuss about the Pics of the Faired FZ clicked while being tested on road?

Bike India most probability got the info about these pics from xBhp itself.. is it something like "what goes around comes around?"
Why a new thread again on the same topic?

Clearly shows that they know just as much much as we do.. the site should have posted link(s) of the site/forums from where they got the Pics in the first place.. you give credit, you get credit (it is an an online etiquette).

Woaahh guys chill!
Most of us dont know the real source of pictures. Im sure Bike India's email id might have been flooded with the same pictures of the new fazer 150 from many readers. Now, they cant write the names of the all readers / the sites where the pictures are posted can they?

Coming back to the topic, it is a great move by Yamaha to get out the faired FZ-16. I believe the bike will be priced around 3000 more than the normal FZ-16 and will be a very good tourer now. The fairing will help deflect the air at high speeds. Good move Yamaha!
